  1. The New owner get nothing more than a venue that he need to pay for,

    Some old furniture, maybe a good pool table and a T.V.

    Go there on evening time and look what the bars have on customers.

    New contract with the owner that means pay the deposit and the key money and its give the owner

    the possibility to ask more rent.

    Most of the staff will leave??

    You don`t get customers because the only came for the old bar not for you.

    First 6 months you don`t make money only wen you are lucky you survive.

  2. I asked the staff at Chiang Mai Immigration if I could mail the document for 90-dayreporting, and they told me something like "not a good idea, it could get lost...".

    That was probably two years ago, so now I just drive there every three months and that's a pain.

    Next one is end of December, and appointment for a 1-year visa extension is on January 9 or 10, so I have to go twice...

    You don`t have to go twice because the 1-year visa extension you can do 1 month before

    Many houses for sale in the same soi or neighborhood always say it`s go down with that soi or neighborhood.

    Renovation is good but get a building company and let them give you a quotation before you buy.

    resale is hard, ask also prices from other houses in the same neighborhood,

    then you know what your marge is.
