  1. What a bloody joke. Red shirts are planning to secede and have come out to say they're raising a 600,000 strong militia and CAPO does nothing. Police beat a confession out of someone they arrested and suddenly the PRDC is storing up arms. Oh yeah! This is brilliant investigative work! Sherlock Holmes would be proud! clap2.gif

so you personally witnessed the police beating the confession out of this guy???? What a joke

  2. If the farangs are investing 100% of the money and taking all the financial risks why can't they run the company. Having to take all the risks and handing over the majority of the profits to Thais is simply wrong. Why would you invest and set up a business employing thais when you will never own it.

Because thai law states that ni foriegners may hold more than 49% ownership in a business. The only exception is for Americans who are permitted to invest and own 100%.

Under the TAFTA free trade agreement Australians are also able to own 100% of companies in non restricted industries.

Are u sure i have never read that in the agreement????

  3. The Shinawatra Tower 3 is said to house the SC Asset Company which is previously owned by Ms Yingluck Shinawatra.

Suthep vowed to pursue Yingluck at all places she went to bring the end to her power and rule in the country.

umm its just a guess but shes probably not there.

Still your learning difficulties shows through.

They are not there to grab the PM, they are there to disrupt the Shinawatra business interests and stop them making money in Thailand.

Please tell me that i read you wrong because a class of 11 year old children can read this and give a 200 word interpretation and not one of them would come up with your comment.

You are beyond help, I will skip all your posts from now on. they are clearly backward.

My my you are on form today with your bilious insults arnt you ?

Ever heard of sarcasm ? rolleyes.gif

Isn't sarcasm the lowest form of wit ?

  4. PTP are going to stay as long as possible no matter what anybody or any court says. As soon as they lose their power hold in this country there will be a flood of scandals appearing.

Not like the trickle we are getting now everyday. .

They must have hundreds of people hiding or destroying documents that would show the world their atrocities right now.

What is important though is the fact that someday soon a new gov will emerge. I just hope the thai people vote this time for someone who really cares about thailand and doesnt abuse their position to accumilate more wealth and power.

    A true democracy.

I know this probably will not happen in my lifetime though but maybe my kids will see it happen

  5. A foreigner in Thailand does not enjoy the same rights as a Thai that are provided by the Thai Constitution?

Probably not? I have been married to my Thai Wife for 14 years, but as I understand it, if we move to Thailand, I will be treated like a foreigner as far as immigration is concerned, as far as buying a house is concerned and who knows what else. This has been holding me back from her wish for me to move with her to Thailand. Sort of like walking unvited into someone's house.

"who knows what else" well all the foreigners living in the country. There is a substantial list of what rights we havent got cheesy.gif . Actually good move hang on for quite some time and do a hell of alot of research before u commit my opinion only of course but im happy living here no complaints really.

  6. The EC surely not support the PDRC, if so they had cancelled the election after the "State of emergency", because since this point, partys not allowed to campaigning. They only look for self defence, and the law is not a bamboo you can bend like you want. Now I waiting for someone who declares the caretaker Government for failed, until it not able to hold lawful elections in the time limit. Look like they all have fear to defend the constitution...rolleyes.gif

Have you tried to bend bamboo facepalm.gifgiggle.gifcrazy.gif

  7. Why are armed militias from Suthep allowed to shoot people in Bangkok at will every day?

Get this militia off the streets - NOW!

They've been shot at, grenaded and RPG'd over the past few weeks. If the police are unwilling to protect them from violence then taking up arms is a reasonable course of action. Obviously shooting at an unarmed vehicle without provocation is unreasonable but it certainly is understandable.

What a stupid range of comments wprime

BANGKOK: -- Responding to the fire at the Santika Club which left 64 people dead on New Year's Day, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has set up a committee to inspect and improve the safety of buildings in the Thai capital.

Permanent Secretary of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Pongsakti Saemsan said after a meeting with BMA's senior officials that the special committee will inspect security measures of the buildings of cinemas, hotels, department stores, apartments, markets and other structures which can affect lives and property of the public.

The inspection criteria include installation of fire extinguishers, emergency alarms and fire exits.

Mr. Pongsakti said if the committee finds any building to be substandard, it will be closed immediately and strong legal action will be taken against the operators or the owners even if they are influential persons.

The BMA assigned the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department to convene a meeting with building owners next week to instruct them on building security measures.

BMA deputy permanent secretary Pongsakti will work with officials of the the capital's district offices to build understanding with the public and to distribute handbooks on safety measures in case of emergency.
