  1. Hi Folk guitar, THankyou for that valuable information, I will look into this further. Have you had any of Hearsouce products sent to Thailand? I had heard of a guy in Chiangmai who had hearing aids sent  from the US and customs at this end gave him  hard time with duty etc. Also how do your hearing aids hold up in the hot weather with moisture?

Thanks again for the info much appreciated.

  2. UPDATE,

I was originally told by my visa agent of 7 years that I had up until the 31st July to renew, then I started reading online that it did not apply to retirement visa's hence my original  post. I recently contacted my agent agent and expressed my concerns she personally went into the IO in Chiangmai and was told 100% that I had until the 31st July.

  3. The Chumphon airport doesn't open until June the 1st. and there are no direct flights from Surat Thani to Chiangmai until June 1st also I will be quarantined in Chiangmai for 14days if I go before June 1st  I will have to take a bus for aprox. 2.5 hrs from where I am staying to Surat Thani airport. I already have done a 14 day self isolation when I arrived in Chumphon last month don't wish to do another one.

  4. Yes I have been getting mixed messages, I own my home in chiangmai so could not change my formal address. The airport at Chumphon is not opening until June and the same with flights from Surat Thani direct to Chiangmai. I could fly from Surat Thani to Bkk and take another plane to Chiangmai, just don't want to risk it. Thanks for your help

  5. I went to the "Orange Mac Cafe" just past Punna residence on the left going towards Doi Suthep, the owners name is Khun Krit. So it looks like there are 2 Mac shops on the same road who's owners share the same name.

I have not been to Khun Krit'shop on the right hand side, I did not even know it existed until these posts, but I will definitely check his shop out if I need repairs again.

  6. Be Careful of Khun Krit.

I also wanted a change from Maczone so I took my mackbook to Khun Krit in Huay Gaew Rd. I needed a new track pad and wanted a new hard drive. The track pad cracked the first evening i used it and my mac crashed . I took it back but Krit was not their, I finally managed to contact him on the phone and he said he would get back to me,he never did.

I went to the shop several times but he was always away and talked to the two "technicans"(they were both 2nd year computor students) their they told me that I would loose all my data as the files had been corrupted. I then went back to Mac zone, the hard drive and track pad that Krit had installed were second hand ( he had guarenteed me they were new) and it was obvious just looking at them.

Krit buys cheap second hand mac parts on line and installs them stating they are new, that is why his guarantee on the his product's are only for a few months and his so called technicans do not have a clue. He is cheaper for a reason

Maczone installed a new hard drive and track pad and it has been runnning fine since.

  7. Hi,

I recently bought some vitamins (3 bottles total value $30.00) on line. I received a letter from Fed X in Bkk that the Thai FDA have now reclassified vitamins and supplements as medical supplies and I would need a permit to import. Has anyone else encountered these problem? Normally I get a letter from the local Post office to come and pick them up and usually pay about 30 percent tax.

I was wondering has this just happened because they were sent through Fed X and not normal Thai post.?

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

  8. OK I admit it. I am interested but know nothing about them. What is the reward for using one.

I am familiar with air ionizer's Any relationship between the two?

    Really curious.

    Hi,

I think the best would be to google it, lots of info available.

    Chok dee
