The masses, who I'm sure for the most part believe climate change is an issue need figureheads and icons. |Powers that be, whether governments or corporations fear influential people that may want to hold them to account and she is one of those people...................Currently her voice is galvanising those that believe climate change is an issue, I like that and by the way, although young looking for her age, she is nearly 19 years old and therefore a grown up........................................................

I can appreciate your conviction and principles........................................................It was only a month or so ago that I learnt from a thread here that there was pretty much no benefits from the Elite visa. I was quite taken aback that you still had to do 90 day reporting etc etc. ........................................I seem to remember back in the day everyone was banging on about limo transfer from the new airport and golf course benefits or whatever and maybe for those that wanted to impress, it may have been a good option, but I can't see it today................................

You say that as does Spidermike vehemently for example, but personally, I don't think expats or those considering give a damn about who's in charge as long as it's a safe place to live/not threatened by the powers that be.......................................... My experience of living in the Kingdom has been refreshingly one of not being the least bit concerned about local politics and the news and just enjoying life. When one lives in one's home country, it's almost as if it's one duty to keep up with the news and that's invariably depressing ..................................................

In the heady days from say 2000 to about 2010 every man and his dog came to Thailand with either ill gotten gains, profits from selling real estate and their savings in general etc etc. Exchange rates were favourable and it was cheap to live in the Kingdom. In my experience, I started to see expats leave from about 2013 onwards and I don't believe it was visa related, more that there were less opportunities to make money here, the lifestyle became more expensive, savings had dwindled, the novelty had worn off and their were also other destination oportunities which offered an alternative that maybe hadn't been on their radar before.............................................................Making visas more difficult or expensive to obtain is definately a reason for less European and Western expats staying long term in Thailand, but I don't believe it's a major factor as to why more may have left the Kingdom since 2014 for example.......................................................

Perhaps consider penning your somewhat addictice sounding memoirs and as Golden Triangle highlighted; take a breath!..................................... You have quite a bit of mishievous ammunition from over the years to fill a few potentially riveting chapters......................has the makings of a fun read..............................

Works hand in hand, a great tool without a shadow of doubt.....look at the clear up rate in the UK for example, without CCTV, far less convictions and every crime documentary one watches in the UK, CCTV pays a huge and an integral part in the investigation...........................this is a huge deterrent to would be criminals..............I'm a real fan of systems absolutely, but not if they impede on one's or third party's privacy..................................

I think you've been more than reasonable and quite frankly, it must affect the way you feel about living in the property: it certainly would me.................................If that is the case, then you gotta stand your ground and front it out as you see fit................................However, a possible compromise might be for you to suggest that the housekeeper is allowed to update him with videos of the property at regular intervals to show that the property is being well looked after............................Any reasonable landlord would agree to that, and I'm sure you would,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,otherwise he is just a voyeur..........................................................I hope it works out for you.................................

Two things that I'm struggling to get my head around................... that you didn't notice the cameras prior to moving in and query or how to operate etc that after emailing the landlord reasonably; he's still insistent that you reconnect them Just unplug and ignore all correspondence from now on and as the the first post states 'let him sue me'...........................

He's certainly portraying the UK negatively from a renter's perspective and being honest about the 'miserable' bit.....................Always good to pinch yourself when fed up with the Kingdom or go for some short sharp shock treatment in some other miserable country to get your mindset back on track..........................

Don't be fooled by a sweet talking agent. Sounds like a move by the agent or at least a conspiracy between the two of them.....................................................Call the agent back, demand to meet the owner in person, with all 3 of you in the meet at the same time in the apartment (not anywhere else) and truly get to the bottom of the situation..........................................let them open their mouths, listen only, don't committ to anything, send them away, tell them you'll contact them with your answer once you've thought it over................................................................You can of course just roll over and move elsewhere if you don't want any confrontation or you can try the above and see if it benefits you....Nothing to lose.......best of luck

I have been following UK news daily to try to decipher the stats in the UK, but have been unable to find any info/data of who is testing positive and from which groups/vaccinated or otherwise, kit seems there is nothing out there............. I would appreciate any graphs/data from anyone on here Reading between the lines I too am assuming it's kids, but................................
