  1. I'm over here with my girlfriend who is teaching, living in Pin Klao just by TESCO. I'm currently on a tourist visa which has nearly run out. I'm looking to enroll in a Thai language course, then should be able to get a ED visa. Does anyone no of a company or education center close to Pin Klao they all seem to be far from me, and traffic is always so bad over here.

    Hope you can help. Jack

  2. Hi i got a triple entry tourist visa from Hull so i got a big red stamp in my passport, on the visa it say "this visa must be (something, can not read it, as it hs been stamped over) before 14th of september"

so i take it,that is the 6 month expiry date of when it got issued, so can i do my last visa run on the 14th of september and come back in the 14th, or would it have to be the 13th or before??

    thanks jack

  3. I have been staying in Bangkok for 2 months with my girlfriend, she is half Thai half USA, and she works at a government school, teaching englidh.

The school has an English, French and Japanese language program there but is not an international school Would i be able to apply to join a program and obtain a ED visa or does it have to be a language school and i would have to apply outside Thailand if this is the case?

    thanks Jack

  4. A triple entry Tourist visa is valid for entry into Thailand for 6 months. I only allows you to enter, but does not determine how long you can stay. To get maximum use out of the visa you must enter right after it is issued. When you enter you will be granted 60 days permission to stay and that can be extended for 30 days at immigration in Thailand, cost 1900 baht. On the last day, exit and re-enter (second entry). You will get 60 days which can again be extended for 30 days, cost 1900 baht. Now the trick. On the day before the VISA expires (or the must enter by date on the visa) exit and re-enter (third entry) and you will get another 60 days that can be extended for 30 days, cost 1900 baht. So if you enter Thailand the day after the visa is issued and use it properly you can get 265+ days.

I just noticed your login name, jackinkrabi. If you are currently in Thailand, the triple entry option doesn't seem to be available in neighboring countries. I think that the best you will get is a double, but if used right that would give you almost 180 days.

back in the uk at the mo, used to live in Ao Nang.

thanks for the tips does it matter when i would extend?? as in the first week or something, that is quite expensive to so this. i think i might become a male order English groom.

one more thing Immigration staff are always so grumpy any tips to cheer them up??

  5. The rules have changed and a Non-O to visit friends is no longer available. Your best option is, as said above, a triple entry tourist visa if available. You could look for work and if found, apply for a work permit and get a Non-B in a neighborinhg country. If you use the triple entry TV right, you can get almost 270 days stay in Thailand with 2 border runs.

    how 270??? is it not 60 days x 3??

  6. I don't know if the rules have changed but i used to easily be able to get a "type o" visa muiltiple with out any problems. On the application form i used to write for the "purpose of visir" was visiting friends and just garantor myself now is this still possible? becasue i see you need evidence. I just booked a ticket to thailand yesterday and getting worried.

I might be seeking work in Bangkok can i put this down for reason for purpose of visit then try and get a type o multiple??

I am from England and use the consulate in Hull

    Thanks jack

  7. hey guys, i've got myself into a right pickel, and stressing out on how to get this business visa and wp. ok i'll start from the begining, i've set up a small bar with a thai guy and now have just registered a partner limted company, using just our two names, im now on the 15 day visa on entry, i need some help sorting the business visa then my work permit. i take a letter writen in english? to a thai consulate in panang or kl (i'm in krabi) saying that company wants to employ me as a manager? we have no tax records, balance sheets or financial statements, if i get the business visa will it be hard to get a work permit because when its seems like most farangs apply for their permit with the bigger thai companys with financial backing.

any help would be great thanks

    jack
