  1. hi, i have been in thailand for a few months, i always use the bank of ayudhya atms as they have never before put the usual 150bht charge on me withdrawing my money from my nationwide uk debit card,

however yesterday that all changed, so like all other atms i have come across i now have to pay a 150bht per transaction fee with them, does anyone know why this has suddenly happened or know of other thai bank atms that wont put the 150bht fee on each time i withdraw my money..

    thanks in advance

  2. i had already applied for my single entry 90 day visa, just needed the info for if i do decide to stay longer but will probably be returning when my 90 days are up, knowing i can get a 2 entry tourist visa in laos if i do want to stay is good news..

i have go the non-o visa with 1 entry valid for 90 days for purpose of extended stay / visiting friends..
On what basis are you getting the non-o visa. There might be other options if you tell us that.

Why not apply for a multiple entry 'O' visa or a double entry tourist visa?

Then you will have no problem if you wish to stay longer than 90 days.

  3. thank you very much for your info

No other options than getting a tourist visa. I was hoping it was for something other than visiting friends. The nearest place you can get another one of those is Perth Australia.

You can get a 2 entry tourist visa in Vientiane Laos for free. With this visa you will get 2 entries of 60 days that can be extended 30 days giving a total stay of about six months.

Here is link to a 49 page topic about Vientiane visa runs. Start on the last page and work your way back a few pages for a lot of useful info. http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/Vientiane-La...tml&st=1200

  4. looking to stay in bangkok for 2 months later in the year, not tied to any particular area so if anyone has any recommendations / links to apartments they have stayed would be appreciated, looking to pay 15,000 thb max, ideally with a pool.

    many thanks!

  5. Doesn't say a lot for the place if they can't be bothered to clear thier inbox.

Pattaya is hardly overflowing with tourists just now. TIT

exactly, just looking for a cheap place to stay for a week before moving on.. looks ok for the price but like you said if they can't be bothered they can f*!k off..
