  1. Get some mosquito killer packets from your local council offfice. My local council gave this stuff out last year free. Its a powder you put in any open water containers that can potentialy breed mosquitos. Stinks ,but effective and non toxic.

As a kid gowing up in North Queensland Australia, along side the ross river it was a very real and dangerous disease. Everyone knew somebody with either Ross river fever or dangue. We used to get educated by John williemson on T.V about dangue prevention.

Best thing you can do is stop the mossies breeding around your house, our local council used to hire crop dusters to spray the swamps, cant really see that happening around here for awhile though as thailand is a big swamp mostly.

Look out for the mossies with white legs!

    "Stop dangue now ay"

  2. Central shopping centre in pattaya has a really good range of baby stuff if you dont have any luck with the second hand stuff, i was in there yesterday and was very impressed as they have some high end brand name stuff. I only assume it was good stuff because it was bloody expensive.

Congrats on the babys by the way.

  3. I paid around 1000 for a full detail last year when they first opened, they did a really good job. It seems like most car washes situated in shopping centre carparks are a bit pricey, but more professional than your road side washes.

I would'nt recomened it every week though because as soon as you drive it out of the car park it's filthy again.

Longball is right, around 150 a wash is fair i think and a wax about the same.

    My 2 cents

  4. The "pound and Penny" is a winner. Nice family operation, generous food portions and good taste. Value for money, i had a sea bass for 150 baht that proberly would have cost 400 baht in other seafood restaruants down the beach.

Just a thai menu at this stage ,but everyone has good english so no problem ordering.

To get there, heading from ban chang towads pala beach, turn left at the intersection before the roundabout.

  5. All good points and accurate, overall still the best in bangchang though. I agree that the staff there are a bit limited, i think the company has no previous gym or spa buissnesses. Timber exporters and land developers or something i think. I was a bit disapointed when i used the gym today, some of the equipment is out of balance. The pool is blue again though.

I like that there's not many people using it during the day. I dont want people laughing at my "overweight, exhausted style" mauy thai.

I will continue to use it i think, just have to wait for my back to come good again.

  6. I've had the same problem with my xbox, there's a way to fix it yourself on youtube, but i took mine back to tuc com pattaya who then sent it for repair to bangkok.

They will repair it but wont garantee it will not break down again, so i bought a new one in the meantime only one week old and starting to show signs of deteriating.

It's only supposed to be one xbox out of a thousand that has this problem so it makes me think that it's the power supply here in thailand is not good for the machines. I think they overheat or something?

  7. I'm doing some kick boxing lessons in the morning with leng, who held a middleweight title for a long time evidently, he was also doing private lessons in the bang chang community for the last 3 years, 10 one hour sessions for about 6000 baht. Really good fitness.

I like the gym, good equipment. Massage opens next week i think.

The swimming pool is really green, when i asked about it they said it's green because it's a salt water pool...i think it just needs more salt or a clean, because it looks like an algea bloom.
