  1. Thank you all for the reply. I am in fact doing a little more research on tummy tuck procedures done in three of the hospitals in Bangkok. I guess I am more likely to do it in a hospital rather than the polyclinic....it sounds a little too good to be true the price and I do in fact have reservations.Even if the price will be a little more expensive, I just dont want to take a gamble with the Polyclinic.

Whatever it is, I am certain that the polyclinic is out of the question now. So thanks again for the replies!

    Chill!

  2. Hi there

I was just wondering if anyone has had a tummy tuck done in PRATUNAM POLYCLINIC? I have seen their advert in the newspapers and their prices are far cheaper than in some of the hospitals in Bangkok. I am thinking of getting it done before going back to Europe.

Let me know ASAP if anyone out there has done so with them...

    Many thanks!

  3. It is not too late to start now. Kids are like sponges, they absorb pretty easily and fast. Speak English and your mother tongue at the same time everyday. In no time, they will be able to converse in both languages. Good luck though! ..... :)

  4. You will still both need the letter from your embassy. Ask them about which papers you need to show about the divorce.

All documents need to be translated into Thai before you legalise them at the Ministry of foreign Affairs, Consular department.

But I read that the letter is required only for singles who wish to marry and for the ones who have previously married is just to produce the divorce cert. So I still need a letter even if I produce the divorce cert?

  5. Hello all,

    I need a little help here. I am planning on registering my marriage in Bangkok. Both my fiance and I are foreigners and both are divorced. My question is ;

Is the divorce cert enough apart from our passports etc? Do they require a single status letter that states free to remarry or is that only applicable for single person/s who wish to marry here in BKK? Since we both have our original divorce cert, do we still require this letter?

    Please help. Thanks :)

  6. The rule was revoked last November.

So since I am leaving for Singapore tomorrow, are you very certain that I will be able to re-enter and not having the risk of being denied the entry. I was planning on goin to the Thai Embassy there to apply for the visa.

  7. Hello

    I need help and info.

I have already entered three times in a row to Bangkok and I would like to know if I can still enter with 30 days on arrival (visa waiver). Does the rule, maximum stay of 90 days for every 180 days still apply or has it been lifted?

    Please help.....thanx!

  8. Does anyone else on in this forum have experience of dating "normal" Thai girls? I have spent the past couple of weeks wining and dining some of them but it's not been too successful. I am 41 years old, still look reasonably young, but I'm beginning to think I'm too old for them.

I don't know quite what happened but a couple of weeks ago I suddenly had several 'dates' to go out with - maybe I was just in the right place at the right time. However, none of them have turned out to have much in the way of warmth or compassion. Contrast this with my previous Isaan girl - there is no comparison.

The best one was a girl I met at the bank. She comes from a fairly rich, educated family and speaks fluent English. She is not in the slightest bit "Thai" in her outlook. She has lived and studied abroad.

I have been dating her for a week and we've had tremendous fun. We went to Sirocco restaurant at the top of State Tower. We had lots of nice days together. Last week she was talking of introducing me to her family. She started speaking about the future and including me in it.

But today she's had a go at me for spelling her name incorrectly in my text messages (I write Thai but this was in English, so my mistake I guess). Yesterday I took some fruit to her office as a romantic gesture. She really didn't like me coming to the office. Now she's suddenly stopped replying to me.

Is this par for the course with normal Thai girls with slightly older foreigners like me? Are they simply not interested? Admittedly this girl is not conventional Thai. She doesn't go to the temple and she doesn't like the "Thai institution". She is 26 years old and slightly old-fashioned in outlook.

Any advice as to how to 'win her' back would be appreciated!!! Feeling pretty sh**ty about it at the moment. I can't understand why my two misdemeanours are so bad.

Seriously she getting pissed because you incorrectly spelled her name??? Ans she not liking you coming to her office with a basket of fruits??....hmmm, something definitely wrong with her!

If she continues to play hard to get.....DITCH her. So many other fishes in the sea for heavens sake! So bloody petty!!!!....sheeeeeshhhhhhhh!

    Good luck!
