EDIT If you are on overstay, even a short one, avoid the cheap option of doing a land border crossing. The border run buses are often stopped and passports examined, I have seen one person (not a farang) removed from the bus for being overstay, not worth the risk. At one point Cambodia were refusing entry if you had a Thai overstay stamp (dunno if still true).
In years of doing visa runs to Cambodia (Ban Laem) I've never heard of any vans being pulled over by police to check passports. I've even asked a few operators and they've never heard of it.
I have several experiences of ID checks on buses and trains near land borders of Thailand, though the officials have never bothered white people.

you probably forgot to add the transaction number or made a typo in it.
or you forgot to pay VAT.
anyways, try contacting them through the forum @ https://www.voipbuster.com/forum
you'll need a voipbuster account for that.
I did use the amount and transaction number as they provided. Thanks for the tip anyway.

Seems that I'm not the only one having problems with VoipDiscount.
Search Wikipedia for VoipDiscount or Betamax (the name of the company) and see Customer complaints.
At the moment they are ignoring my requests for refund.

Why didn't you write down the transaction ID?
I'm not sure what your point is. I used it as a reference in my money transfer.

How much money are we talking about here?
About 500 baht.

I guess this is one way to finance their call rates.
I registered to their site and transfered credit to a Thai bank account they instructed me to. I used the Internet bank to do the transfer. VoipDiscount promised that my credit will be increased automatically if I use a certain transaction reference id and so I did.
They did not increase my credit even though I waited several weeks. I went to my bank and asked for a receipt, but the bank couldn't give me one because I had opened my account at a different branch 150 km away. So I forwarded to VoipDiscount a copy of my bank passbook and all the other information I have.
VoipDiscount did nothing because they are expecting to see my name, my account number, the date, the amount and the beneficiary name in the receipt. I'm not sure if I could get such a receipt even if I travelled to the other branch. A regular ATM receipt of a transfer doesn't have all that information.
I asked VoipDiscount to check from their own bank account if they can see my transfer. For some reason they refused to do so.
VoipDiscount won't do anything to help their customer. Instead they are wrongfully accusing me of not using the transaction reference id.

What is the quickest way to get back to Udon Thani airport from the friendship bridge?
You can get a shared (or private) minivan to the airport after you enter Thailand. Probably about 150-250 baht depending on how many passengers. It's not so far so there's plenty of time to catch your flight.

Can anyone post the picture of the map of Cambodian embassy ?
Look at the map on the website of Lao embassy in Bkk (I can't post the url). The Cambodian embassy is located in the place of Esso Station, less than 100 m from the Lao Embassy.
The Cambodian embassy looks like this:

Well, I just returned from Khota Bharu, and was rejected for a double entry tourist visa but was issued a single entry. I have already received a few tourist visas there, including double entry. The woman at the counter showed me a sheet of paper which was basically accusing me of working. Presumptuous!
Did you get your visa free of charge?
I wonder if they would give me a double entry. I do have many Thai visas in my passport but none of those are from KB.

As it is the 5th of March, any reports, whether single or double tourist visas are given out for free?
I left my application for single entry tourist visa in Vientiane today and the fee was as promised 0 baht.

Interesting. One Thai embassy, two different texts on their website:
Those were originally the same, but the front page was modified (single entry) later.

Any payment for entry and exit stamps is a voluntary tip and so is 1000 baht for the tourist visa. I have gone to Poipet two times and paid 20 usd for the visa on arrival and nothing for the stamps each time.
