  1. There are so many inconsistencies and contradictions in the OP's postings regarding his status that I'm getting more and more confused, or maybe cynical. :)

I'm considering renouncing my US citizenship at some point. To do that I would need to have a passport from another nation, preferably one that afforded me similar privileges to travel the world as my US passport does. I would be willing to convert to Judaism in order to obtain an Israeli passport, as I currently have no religious beliefs whatsoever and I am of the opinion that being a religious person is a good thing for ones character, social life and especially for your children, regardless of the religion (moderate muslim, christian, catholic, jewish, buddhist etc, mainstream). Alternately I would be willing to pay to obtain a passport from another nation - so long as it met my travel requirements - an EU member nation (like Latvia) would be excellent. I'd love to live in Europe - the last two times I was there the only reason I left was because my 90 day visa expired (actually overstayed both times).

On top of the above I would like to attend graduate school.

I would also like to find a way to stay in Thailand for as long as I want without having to worry about my next visa extension going wrong or leaving the country, as I hate to fly. Thus, I have been asking a lot of questions about various methods to do this in the Visa section.

Please tell me what is inconsistent or contradictory about any of that. Or what else I have said that has made you think my statements are inconsistent or contradictory.

You are right You can convert to Muslim and get a Yemen passport.

  2. ...if they really wanted they could work, even on thai wages, in so many hotels and guesthouses in phuket - looks, like they are alkoholics, not able to take care of themselves...

Better don't judge, unless you know all the facts; even if you feel that you are right :)

I like these two better than Mr. Teal who is a lot more rich, but no less un-legal.

Maybe for Xmas our members can help them out

    Where can send some money.

They look so sad and they miss alcohol.

    We all need to help.

  3. What is your relation with Rita?

If you can type this message you can also take care the baby isn't.

I agree what do you do all day? If you work maybe another member can watch the baby. Maybe we can send the poor mother money. will that be okay with you and the mother?

  4. What is it that makes government in the West think they can impose their own morality as to when a person should be working and earning money? I am sure they would be more proud if the kids was out stealing, starving and/or abusing drugs and dying at a young age. You know, the LA way...

One of the most significant failures regarding this 'protect the children' hysteria is that it has missed the point ('save the children'), as seen when factory-owners in India and Nepal got caught up in boycott-calls, their western customers imposing trade-rules and the companies then summarily dismissed all underage (by western standard) workers, leaving them to poverty.

Even UNICEF write of the plight caused in Bangladesh after the Child Labor Deterrence Act was introduced in the US, an estimated 50,000 children were dismissed from their garment industry jobs, leaving many to resort to jobs such as "stone-crushing, street hustling, and prostitution", jobs that are "more hazardous and exploitative than garment production". The study suggests that boycotts are "blunt instruments with long-term consequences, that can actually harm rather than help the children involved."

I agree with you. It's simply not possible for one country to apply it's value system to others.

Just as it's not possible to bring political systems from your own country to others that have a different culture / dynamic.

Unfortunately this is what the British Empire tried to do, and now the "US Empire" is revisiting the sins of it's parents.

I bet that you are mad that the Japanese and Germans did not take over the world. But those Americans and British had nothing to do but to fight these poor people who just had a different value system.

  5. There is a big thing going on about this Swineflu thing world wide..... after my own researches, i think its a well planned Hoax/scam with diffrent goals of whoever created that bad plan.... but check out this reports and investigations for your own before u judge....

not to accept any vaccination is a good advice for anyone who wants to be more healthy

    cheers

PS: one thing left: the vaccination is classified as Biological Weapon.... surprise surprise.... just check the patents and u will find it out for your own...

Wow you are so smart during your own research. I have been busy to do any as i spend all my life enjoying the night life.

So they are trying to kill us with the vaccine. Thanks a lot

  6. to the topic... it all depends which kind of people you are dealing with. you go soi nana then yes you are walking ATM. did you ever thought thailand also have decent people living normally? many of which are more richer than farangs, OK, maybe you don't meet these circles of people because you just go to some gogo bars where they don't hang around... just a thought, no hard feelings man.

I love Thailand that is why I stay here. However I follow the an Old Russia custom never to be the first to put your hand in your pocket. They may call me cheap but I known they are beggars. Maybe the reason I love Thailand is I love to hear their stories why they need money.

  7. More heat and drought - our grim outlook for summer

BANGKOK: -- People in many areas of the country are already roasting under a heat wave of up to 38 degrees Celsius and arid conditions, with the coming summer expected to last to mid-May - and it could be even hotter and drier than last year.

Northern and northeastern provinces will swelter under temperatures of up to 42 degrees in April - including Uttaradit, Tak, Kamphaeng Phet, Nong Khai, Udon Thani, Khon Kaen, Sakon Nakhon and Nakhon Ratchasima, Somchai Baimoung, the director of the Weather Forecast Bureau, said yesterday.

The peak, recorded by the Meteorological Department last year, was 42.4 degrees in April in Mae Hong Son's Muang district.

However, each time the mercury soars to 40 degrees or higher it will not stay there for more than four days, he said.

Smith Dharmasaroja, former chairman of the National Disaster Warning Centre, expressed concern that this summer could be even more of a scorcher than last year, and drier too.

Reports from December 18 to February 2 showed that drought had stricken 13 provinces.

"Although the La Nina phenomenon is expected to trigger more downpours than last summer, rainfall will not be enough for people to use during this hot season," he said.

Agriculture will be affected so people, especially in the Northeast, should find ways to store rainwater for both farm and household use, he said.

Tropical storms with gales of up to 40 to 50 kilometres per hour were predicted.

"Such storms may become a real threat to high buildings, houses and billboards that are not safely constructed," he said.

A storm surge may hit the Gulf of Thailand in May, he added.

Summer diseases, including diarrhoea and rabies, are another thing people should beware of besides dehydration and shock.

Phanomphan Siriwattananukul, director of the Bureau of Occupational and Environmental Diseases, has warned people, particularly labourers and farmers who work outdoors, that they are at risk of sunstroke.

People working outdoors are recommended to drink oral rehydration solutions to protect themselves against drying out.

Others working indoors should drink lots of water and wear clothes made from cotton to absorb heat from the body and listen to soft music.

This is nothing but a plan to sell A/C to rich farangs it will snow in Bangkok by May 1 as Jesus shall make his appearance to save the world.

  8. The TAT comes out with a new cocktail and the foreign media calls it 'can lure back tourists' and 'devastating blow' etc...

A freind of mine was actually at this launching and can swear the TAT didn't say a single thing in regards to luring back tourists etc... They are just promoting a fookin drink

I have a great idea they give everyone 2 free drinks at the airport coming and going.

  9. The reds violently stopped the gay parade in Chiang Mai this weekend from even starting. A great force for freedom and democracy. Be afraid. They are a bunch of THUGS.

I have heard from my wife they shall close all the Go Go Bars and Beer Bars and etc.

Lucky all of us with wifes and gf don't use their services.

  10. I am not selling my property in Samui but think that if I did put it on the market it would not sell whatever the price , because of lack of investors at this time - What is the solution ? if any - rentals ? less tourists so unlikely -

For those forced to sell - perhaps 50% discount or more ! - Are there any web sites for distressed sellers who need to sell - That might attract investors ?

My house would not sell for 2 million. I want 2.7 so look what I did. I raised it to 8 million. Now I feel at least I have a 8 million baht house.

So I am not trapped I feel better knowing that I want 8 million.

Just raise the price by 5 million you will feel better

  11. I like it.....I've been wanting to do something like that for years....wonder if he needs a riding partner...wonder what I could wear.....i like capes :o . A cape is sexy

It has been common knowledge that he is ninth in line to be the King of England. So when you see him give him your heating allowance if you are getting one by fraud.

  12. Hi

I have just left my former employeer to start a new job ( basically the company informed us 26th Jan that there was no money to pay salary and we would basically have to work for free for the next 6 months as the company had no money )

With this and luckily i was offered a new job..

Now that i have left the company they will not give my Passport back and are holding onto it ( i have also just recieved a new 1 year Visa )

So, can they legally hold the passport ? ( As in theory it is own my her Majesty the queen of England, and not me or the company )

and can they cancel the 1 year visa which has just been issued and paid for?

I really need to get this sorted today

    Many Thanks

Be very careful maybe your boss is a white slaver. Soon you will be a call boy

  13. sorry i forgot to mention she is 22

Shame on you. You could be her father. Don't you have any self respect at all? what does your own children think about this?

and honestly.... Do you think she is with you because what? uh? get a nurse, have a bit of respect for your self, if not for your family, I would be TOTALLY embarrassed if you were my father. "Yes, yes.. take me to Australia, I take care of you for a short while take all the money I can, while I look for a real guy in falangland" ha!

Pop Corn I thnk you are right maybe you should take care of him. I know you will do a good job and his kids will not be ashamed of him.

  14. Re Malaysia, she was all excited about it, her parents were excited, she had been sending me links to website of things we could go and do. Its not a Caribbean cruise but its a start for a girl from the slums of Bangkok, nice 5* hotel down by the harbour etc

Also why would she be better off with someone 33 years her senior? Its hardly the basis for a great relationship is it? Not exactly going to have many shared interests. She said it herself she found him disgusting.

The sportsman was married so I doubt he was doing nothing more than treating her as a bit on the side. I know exactly who he is as I have seen her emails to him. You want me to post his name??? thought not.

The Norwegian millionnaire, again I know about, I have also seen the pictures and quite frankly I can see why he needs to sponsor a girl to have female company. He is repulsive. She also showed me the bank card he gave her and the Gucci handbag and shoes.

I am not exactly poor myself, I can afford to go visit her 5 times a year and we did get married I could afford to support her.

She has never been abroad, if she did she would have a passport, they last for 5 years do they not??? She eventually emailed me through a picture of her passport, so I know she got one made 2 weeks ago, expiration Jan 2014

I don't proclaim to be some saviour or gods gift. I am a decent guy though. And before you go on abour flaming her on an internet forum, you have no idea who I am talking about. She is faceless.

If I wanted I could EASILY get some revenge on this girl, I have no intention of that, if she does contact me I will go meet her for lunch and ask for an explanation.

Me Thinks you are dreaming and a Troll.

  15. "Crime" without victims at least. The invitation on craigslist is written pretty decent. An erotic night out with a "No means No" policy? Where's the problem?

    [/quote

I this the Police did a great job. And want to thank them. My wife ( who is 43 years younger than me) and I can slept better tonight knowing that perverts are not welcome in Thailand.

We can not believe people will do this in Thailand or for that matter anywhere in the world.

  16. Not excited by a property tax, its small and easily paid for most who come to thailand to retire. But take a elderly Thai couple that is living on basically nothing and this is a new nightmare. I hope this idea is shot down in flames.

    **slippery slope alert**

I guess many members will be paying the wife's family land tax. My wife has no land either does her family but as soon as this passing I guess they will find some land.
