What a bunch of moaning old farts you guys are.
Is it costing you anything now? No
Is it hurting you to have someone smile at you? No
Would it hurt you to smile back? No, unless you have just had an abdominal operation.
Can't you find enough trouble in the world to complain about, without inventing it?
Chill out and enjoy something ....just for a change.
I think it's a great idea.......have any of you flown Aeroflot lately? If not I think you should, join the other poe faces.
Try Heathrow for a laugh (not)

Thank-you for helping me to understand a little better about what's going on in my beloved Thailand. I don't pretend to know what's happening over there at the minute but I do feel for the people of Thailand no matter what colour shirt they wear. I've only ever visited as a tourist but it really hurts to see such great sorrow on the faces of people I'm used to seeing smile so readily. Call me an old softee but I'm watching every bit of news I can just to keep close to you ALL. Please everyone stay safe, my thoughts and prayers are with you in Thailand tonight.

Can I ask a stupid question in view of what's been happening? Do you think the Red shirts are likely to give in? My fear is may more people will die and nothing is resolved. I'm no great shakes at politics even my own country's, but, I do feel for the people of Thailand.

THANK-YOU so much for replying so quickly was it your photo? I went there with my husband when we toured Thailand in 2007 for our Silver Wedding Anniversary and we never knew where it was our guide took us because we'd spent about 6 hours in the minibus between destinations and it was so beautiful. Oh, I'm all goose-pimply now LOL.

Hi Everyone LOVE the calendar. Can you tell me where December's photo was taken? THANKS

While the exchange rate is good it will always attract the poms to thailand , there numbers will always be high .
The exchange rate for Brits is awful!!!!!!!

Hi my friends! I'm just about to part with the remainder of our money owing on our holiday (£5000)!! Is it worth us as BRITS coming? I get the feeling we're not very welcome. We've been twice before and loved Thailand, would we be better off just keeping it that way?

No £5400 is the going rate for 2 adults flying Thai Airways Economy class staying in a Dusit Hotel in Bangkok and Chiang Mai for 18 nights from the U.K. Our rooms will be very nice but they are just ordinary rooms nothing like a suite!!! I don't think we have anything special just our holiday. I know we pay alot and the service is EXCELLENT but I'm sure our lovely hotel staff earn nowhere near the amount we pay per night, criminal really is n't it?
God help us you are using the wrong travel agent unless you always come at Christmas - New Year. My company could give you 18 nights 5 star - Dusit Chain - for 18 nights for about £3500 in High Season - Jan 10 - April and about £2500 in Low Season.
We always travel mid January to early February I'd be very interested to hear about your company?

Well, I'm just your average tourist who saves all year for our holiday in Thailand. I had to cancel this year due to the trouble at the airport and 2009 is looking dodgy too!!! When we visited in 2007 we got 70 baht to the £ now it's 50!!!! We find it a struggle all year to save for this and I can assure you the £5400 we spend on getting to Thailand alone (without spending money) is looking very poor value for money at the moment.

OOOOooooo I did n't expect to be watching the Foreign and Commonwealth website closely again for January 2010. Hubby says if we have to cancel then we wont bother booking Thailand again (this would be a great shame). We loose £300 a time which is alot of money at this time in our economic situation. I have every sympathy with people expressing their right to free speeh and true democracy, but I feel another coup is maybe on the cards to prevent all out civil war.

How's it looking for the humble tourist? We had to cancel for 2009 will we have to do it again for 2010? We'll spend as much in cancellation fees as we do on a holiday at this rate.
