My sister is flying in on 15 March and leaving 18 April. This is 35 days. Can she get a 45 day visa on arrival or can she extend her visa at
Immigration for another 7 days or so? What do you recommend? Thanks to all!

Not your problem. Give them 2 weeks to pick it up or keep it! Lazada's Customer Service is terrible, so don't contact them.

Did the Thai police arrest your friend for arranging the fake passport in your name for the Chinese Lady? Did you file charges against your friend.Tell us more about your friend and what happened! This is interesting!

It can take up to 30 days.
Info for getting it is here: http://www.pcscenter.sb.police.go.th/eng/
Give the coppers a 1000 baht and you'll have the clearance in 7 days or less.

I've never used them before, but I have a 9 night reservation in Italy, for an apartment next month. I had paid in full and then I was contacted by the owner and said they (AIRBNB) forgot to charge 30 Euro cleaning fee. I responded no problem, but I looked closer at ad and they also mentioned any electric in excess of 15 euros, I would need to pay. So, I need to check the electric meter when I check-in and then when I checkout, if she adds an additional charge. She has agreed to pick me up at the airport & deliver me to a cruise ship at the end of the rental for 100 Euros, which is a good rate, so I'll pay her half for the airport and then the other half when she delivers me to the cruise ship. She seems to be an honest lady, so I'll go with flow and see what happens. It's still much cheaper than a hotel and I have a full kitchen and a beautiful view of the Med.

Just move! You'll lose your deposit!

Go Tuesday or Wednesday at 10:00AM. No problem and you'll get your passport at 2:00PM the next day! Do not printout your Visa From The Thai Website. They will not except because it leaves the Visa Section half printed, so wait until you get to the consulate and get a form and fill out. Do not pay for the form. It's FREE! I went last week!

Don't worry. Last week I showed up at the bridge in Nong Khai and realized I left mine at home on my desk. They gave me a new one and filled the departure card out and they stamped me out of country. It was very simple!

But still an illegal act to work without a WP, and who takes the fall if someone phones Imm' and complains about illegal working in such and such an area. I've seen it happen a couple of times.
The longest I've waited for a WP is around two weeks.
When you have theo! correct visa or extension in your passport it should take the employer only a few days to gather the correct paperwork together and a quick visit to the labour office, pay the fee and they will issue the WP.
He's working on a Tourist Visa! Time for him to go!

Your on a Tourist and you are not allowed to work! I suggest you go home while you can and get a job! Thailand wants good people here not the ones who break the law!

I enjoy doing it myself! IN fact, I take a few extra days for a holiday because my wife likes to go!

My wife and I take cruises every year and then cruise from Europe to the US for a holiday. On your cruise you will need a Schengen Visa
issued by Italy for the day of arrival to the day you fly back home. You will need insurance for her, I normally buy BUPA Travel Insurance online. Take your travel documents including your marriage certificate to the Italy Embassy which I believe is in the Silom Complex,
but you'll need to check. It will take one day and then they will mail your wife's passport back to her. PM me if you need more info.

Well, if it's like getting a Drivers License, you'll need to take a written test and a driving test. After you fail either one sit down and look sad. Someone will come over and sit down next to you. They will ask what happened and you tell them you failed. They will feel sorry for you and say, "I have a friend" and then whisper 1000 baht in your ear. That afternoon you'll pick up your license. I'm sure it's the same on your boating license, but the costs will be higher. Good Luck!

I would never buy a condo in Thailand for just these reasons. A house you can control, but 200 units you cannot. It's not
only the Russians who do not pay but Thai's too. We have a few Thai's in our neighborhood who won't pay 600 THB a month for security
and landscaping, so I can imagine it would be like pulling teeth to get 2500 THB per month or more.

Tourist Visas - 30 days or 45 days?
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits

Yes, she will be a normal tourist, but planning on staying 35 days. In the past, I thought Immigration had a 7 day extension, but maybe it is 30 days now! Can she cross the border in Laos and come back after a few days of sightseeing? Or would she be required to go to Thai Consulate for extension? Thanks!
