  1. Enjoyed your videos....keep them coming! If you are new to this board you will soon learn to ignore the mean-spirited drivel from some who would be far better off living elsewhere.

  2. Shocking. I'll put this on my list of "things to check before boarding a vehicle in Thailand" list. However -- how much choice do we really have? We might check the tires, see that they're worn thin -- and then what? If it's the only bus on our schedule, do we wait for the next bus? Remain in the emergency brace position throughout the trip?

RIP to the victims... I blame the cheap Chinese rubber imports that saturate the market for this one. There was an article about it a few years back -- that the Chinese imports are putting the Thai factories out of business, unfair competition (in terms of pricing etc.) I can't even find any decent interior tubes for my bicycle in this country!!!

Life is a gamble, every day when you get out of bed, not just in Thailand but everywhere!

Tyre burst? driver fell asleep? something in the road?

they were Just in the wrong place at the wrong time!!!

At this point we cant blame anyone or anything.

IF YOU WANT TO REMAIN 100% SAFE DON'T GET OUT OF BED!

RIP to the dead and a speedy recovery to the injured

  3. I didn't read all of the posts but here's my comment.

    1) Ever think about marriage ?

    2) Can't you do something to make money here ?

I've been here going on 3 decades.

It is possible if you start with some seed money and use your noggin'.

I do how ever understand and sympathize with your situation and am not being condescending in the least.

I'm sure that you have thought this out and your decision is a mature and educated one.

I've been looking to invest into something here in Thailand to make enough money to stay here!

    Any thoughts?

  4. Many thanks, good idea.

Yes Plopmeister, I am "Captain Murgatroyd" and post on other Thailand forum boards.

After wasting the bulk of my working life in retail I moved into security work about seven years before I moved to Thailand. I worked on all sorts of sites in and around London, mostly working 12 hour night shifts. However I also have a background in doing welfare work on festival sites in the 70's and 80's and I'll be getting in touch with Showsec to see if they have any work for me. I held a SIA licence and a full first aid certificate, both of which I would have to requalify for, but that would only take a couple of days on courses.

Shame you have no carpentry/shopfitting skills, could have offered you a job starting in July on a New Primark store in Karlsruhe Germany

Good luck to you and i hope things work out for you in the future

  5. I find Mohamad's story very strange, seems something fishy about it.

I find Mohamad's story very strange, seems something fishy about it.

Are you reading the same story as us, or are you on another planet?

Whats fishy about being stabbed at 3.30am by a thug on a motorbike

These men need to be caught now before anyone else gets hurt or worse killed

  6. Hi all, does anyone here currently use any software for a classified adds site?

I've just bought a domain name from GoDaddy.com and was looking for the best software to biuld/edit the site with!

Most important factor is the ability for traffic to be able to switch from english/thai (available in both languages) at the touch of a button

Been looking at Classifieds Script SEO Edition from Softiiz http://www.softbizsc...pt-software.php it looks ok but anyone know the ultimate software for this type of website

Any help will be much appreciated

    Thanks

    Dave
