About Me

Hi.

My name is Stan Randall, British Citizen age 69 DOB 10/07/39.

I have lived in Thailand for 14 years, 10 years in Phuket before retiring to Umphang in the Province of Tak.

There are at present only two " Farangs " living in Umphang the other is an American who first came to Umphang more then 40 years ago and finally settled here 10 years ago he is my immediate neighbour and friend.

Umphang is a small remote village mostly inhabited by original hill tribe people with its nearest town Mae-Sot 166kms. away over the 2nd largest mountain range in Thailand and takes more then three hours when the road conditions allow!

For those considering coming to Umphang to visit the largest waterfall in Thailand be warned that there are 1219 bends between us and Mae-Sot and those suffering with "Motion Sickness" should take medication.

Should you need further advice you may email me at [email protected]
