It's quite an interesting question, as manufacturers are reverting back to adjustable/shim type tappets. My friends (2) both have new Toyota's: a Vios and an Altis. They rattle like F@@K hot and cold.

It's unlikely the clutch plate is in backwards;they do not fit that way. You say it is cable operated, start with adjusting it.

I want to get a service at a Honda dealer because i want my book stamped; my independent garage doesn't stamp the book.
My question is, do you have to book or can you turn up and wait while it is done? The dealership in my town is out on the bypass road. it's not easy to get home if i have to leave it.

You need to ask for a card that can be used online. It will have your name embossed on it.
