    seems very expensive in Thailand.

I went to Turkey last year, got 6 implants 4 on top 2 on bottom, had 3 teeth pulled, and the rest were filed down,  was there for 3 days, then returned 3 months later for 5 days and had 24 Zirconia crowns fitted, they supplied Hotel with breakfast and transfers from airport and hotel to clinic daily,

Got the whole lot done for €5400, it's a whole new mouth for me as my teeth were poor and now i have the perfect smile. the care that was given in Turkey was incredible aswell as the price.

Best thing i have ever done.

Forgot to mention also got 3D Dental scan done when i arrived, also had a porcelain denture top and bottom glued in between visits.

Was given all medication and mouth wash, my face was swollen for a few days but had very little pain.

Highly doubt it. Thailand is corrupt, but this is a pretty brutal case. He might be able to pay and finish his sentence in NI at a best case scenario. Hope he rots though.

I'm thinking back of a similar case of another Irishman who killed a working girl in patts years ago, got the money and got out, he later got convicted of attempted murder of an Irish woman in Dublin and is serving 14 years.

He butchered a girl (I know the girl and seen the pictures). What are you trying to say? Muffle is away because he took some Yaba.

Yaba doesn't turn you into a frenzy killer. Regardless, he should be locked up for the rest of his life. Or even better, give him the death penalty.

won't happen though as he is wealthy, if he can get his hands quickly on a few miliion baht i can see him getting away and out the country.

In addition to the other facts, what type of visa does a 48 year old have, 'with money'?   Where or how does he make his money?  RIP the lady!

No shortage of money with this guy, he owns a renawable energy company in Ireland called Future Renewables, it's a nice size business which does pretty well.

My guess is he will buy his way out of this. Money talks in Thailand.

If this is true than this is a bad gig as oesophageal cancer is horrible.

I neither know the person and barely remember his circumstances...nevertheless it can be a very cruel way to die.

This is from his gofundme page

    Update on Kevin.
Kevin had a PET scan that didn't look so great. To over simplify it would appear that the cancer has spread to other parts of his body as tumors.
This doesn't mean that he is terminal but it is a set back that has prompted a new corse of action.
Kevin will be traveling over seas soon for further treatment with more options than he has here in Thailand.
Kevin's family and friends are supporting this course of action and looking to get him the best treatments in England at the first of the year.
I will post more as we go.
Thank you again for all you have done to help Kev in this long battle.

I am from Northern Ireland and married here with a 3 month old son. I really want to bring all back home next year. My sons british PP is applied for already.

Does anyone know can my wife apply for an Irish visa off the back of being married to me who has a British Passport -so she would apply as spouse of EEA citizen?? Is this possible ?

Also to meet the requirements of SS what visa would my wife need to be on in, lets say, Ireland. Is a tourist visa acceptable? or does she have to be on another type of visa??

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated guys

if you give up your british citizenship and apply for a irish passport as you being from northern ireland you are entitled to do. you should be able to apply for ss by staying in northern ireland on an irish passport. not 100% but i think this would work!

  9. Hi,

Anybody have any experience getting a tourist visa for ireland from the irish embassy in bangkok? i have known my gf about 9 months just looking to get a visa for her to visit for a month,

I work month on month off at sea in the uk and i would be able to show fairly healthy finances,

She works full time for a big telecoms company in bangkok for the last 8 years earning about 30000 per month but she has no land or property and not a whole lot savings,

Any help or info would be appreciated.

  10. been to thailand lots of times and lived in pattaya for a 2 year spell but that was over 5 years ago, working in the uk month on month off so looking to find a place not to expensive to rent when i come back on my time off as going home to ireland has ran it's course, i will be there for 5-6 months of the year but looking to rent a place for the full 12 months and will pay up front for the year.

    5-7000 baht a month

    Any ideas??

  11. "Win some lose some"

A couple of days back I reported the arrival of three more ladies to Mobi’s bar from the wilds of Issan.

I think someone must have read my comments that that not one of these ladies has ever worked in a place of entertainment before – in fact they had hardly been outside their villages in their entire lives – as last night a gentleman of certain advanced age took a shine to one of our older newbies and whisked her away from the temptations of the flesh before we could blink an eye.

It looks like he is making a permanent home for the lucky lady, as he has already put a ring on her finger, and all the indications are that he is a very decent gentleman, so we will shortly be wishing her a fond farewell.

As with all our ladies, we wish them the very best if they happen to find a nice gentleman who will take care them and their family. This is the good side of having a bar – sometimes you can actually change someone’s life for the better.

Of course we will always welcome her back into the Mobi fold if it doesn’t work out.

So our numbers have reduced by one, but we have three more on the way in early August…. Can’t seem to keep them away….

haha had to laugh at this another 1 falls in the trap, as the saying goes there no fool like an old fool.
