  1. Suspect an ex-mental patient

    Published on September 10, 2005

After more than 12 hours of hunting for leads, police last night named a 31-year-old woman with history of mental disorder as the suspect in the Saint Joseph Convent School knife attack that left four schoolgirls injured.

    ...

Police said they did not believe the suspect was insane because she had planned her crime and escape in advance.

    ...

Attacker mentally sane or not, that indeed is a question.

When attacker is mentally sane there is the qustion of motif: a religious Buddhist(?) extremist attacking adolescent girls attending a Catholic school ??

  2. It was on the news last night. The new airport will open on the 29th. Is this a face saving effort, or is it really going to open?

    Barry

The 29th of which month and of which year, that is the question is it not dear Barry?

Barry are you suggesting 29 December AD 2006 let me spell this out: two thousand and SIX Gregorian calendar. BTW Barry: read my lips: on all earlier dates all illegal bets are off. They better put that in the real news in stead of their darn propaganda :o

  3. How long does present nationalist ToXic government think the Thai people are going to buy their pathetic propaganda cr@p.

Is maffiosi ToXic and his gang afraid the world is going to literally see the couple of thousand corpses in the streets or inside government buildings of murdered individuals in their war on the Muslims in the South and on drugs all over the country? It does not matter ToXic and his gang might be considered fools to Western standards. What matters is ToXic and his gang are neo-fascist murderers.

  4. I cannot believe that no one has made the effort to search Google with:

    "blood donor" bangkok "rhesus negative"

Top of the list is http://www.bambi-bangkok.org/blood.php.

I had to read four submission pages before I could establish that this information has not already been submitted!

I posted this information on TV myself a month ago - http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=41113

As I understand it, the Red Cross and major hospitals all know about this register of donors and will check it first if they need Rh-Neg blood. The trouble is, it isn't well known to expat residents.

The hospitals and TH Red Cross know about that register, they however 'forget' they know because the falang does not know about it, so they do not bother? Yep no surprise: mai pen rai.

I distinctly remember two or three days after the 2004 Tsunami the TH Red Cross publically said they did not want to release their blood reserves because they needed them for their drinking and driving Thai fools expected to get involved in traffic accidents during that holiday season !! No joke. So they started begging for blood donations from the falang to help the tsunami victim falang. You know what all this is: two counts of XENOPHOBIA. You ain't seen nothing yet dogs. :o

  5. The debit vs credit card issue has been hit on in this thread several times.  As apparently many people are not reading thru the entire thread - It might help to modify the name of the thread to the following:  “Thaivisa To Issue Thailand Expat Gold Debit Card”, and to edit the OP to specifically state this will be a Debit card and not a credit card – similar to the added notes about WP and credit check. :D

I thought it was obviousm that this could only be a debit card...!

People should read the threads properly before commenting and wasting everyone's time!

    :o

    TokyoT hits the nail

I suggest the backpack prick gets packing and out in stead of stating what he thinks to be obvious + telling other people what to do :D

  6. the biggest vex I have with backpackers is that they judge all Thai society by the tourist touts they have to deal with during their trip, which usually are the less-than-wholesome type.

That's a crying shame that is but what else would we expect them to do? Start venturing up Rhamkamhaeng Road?

    U mean R A M K H A M H A E N G renowed for its largest stockpile of sexy f.ck.ble unigals in town ?

  7. ... called the Booking Center and then went to the local 7-Eleven to pay for it - DONE!

Can I pay it online by using credit card?

    Yes. http://www.nokair.co.th/html/traveltools/howtopay.html

Valuable info thanks bros :D . I'm wondering what in practise do the words "participating 7-Eleven Counter Service Plus" on the website mean regarding payment after booking with the call center agent.

Is that a limited number of 7-eleven outlets or any of them ?

Does the second logo perhaps indicate the outlet has Counter Service Plus ?

    logopay_711.gif

Unfortunately 7-eleven website doesn't seem to list them outlets :D and i'm pretty much on the move :o:D

  8. There’s times I’ve gone home from this office bemused at some of the excuses I’ve seen from some Thai staff at times, only to cover up either extreme bone-idleness or lack of ability. My favourite has to be “You’re not Thai so you don’t understand” – Well, you’re 100% right there. Can you get on with your job now please?

I would have loved to have tried that on my yank boss. Youre not British so you dont understand!

Basically the Thais are pissing everyone off, the UK, US, UN, Malayasia, everyone except Burma who of course have been given huge loans to buy telecommunications equipement from ooo, lets think, what company would that be?

Toksin today even threatened to walk out of the ASEAN conference if they dared to bring up the recent mass murder.

Bunch of xenophobes, who when the current boom is gone, will be blaming everyone else for their problems instead of looking at themselves ( and that analogy fits at all levels in this country down to a personal one )

In general i share ur resentment and anger over Toxin and his fascist nationalistic profiteers clique. However i strongly oppose ur generalisation on xenophobia in the last paragraph and also ur last sentence "and that analogy fits at all levels in this country down to a personal one." (the brackets don’t matter). That being said please note the word ‘u’ henceforth means ‘the reader’.

What do u want them poor rural people and city proletarians to do: go on strike become homeless and in the end reincarnate of hunger or unite in labour and social movements go out on the streets to protest make revolution and be shot by the army? When the current boom ends them poor people will suffer first and foremost and they really don't have much choice now and will even have less then isn’t it?

The city proletarians and small farmers aged 30+ who suffered under the last recession (end of the nineties), then in their twenties profoundly resent the Democrat party (except the more South u go which by tradition seems to be more Democratic inclined for some older historic tradition and/or reasons). They simply love Toxin's TRT mainly for two fundamental reasons: 1) At least they are back at work and/or received some monetary benefit in one odd to very questionable form or another 2) the 30baht health scheme coz now at least they know they can afford treatment in case they get seriously ill in need of prolonged and/or intensive treatment.

I know it may all sound sad and discouraging : in 2nd world survival economy people try to survive in the pre-democracy in voting with their stomacs. Most of them are not race-xenophobic. Quite a lot of them are economy-xenophobic i.e. they gladly make nips overpay as much and in some cases even more than falang. But most of them don't approove of the killing army in the South nor of the Muslim violence there. Most of them don't approove of the omni-present corruption large and small and the greed of house-owners loansharks shopkeepers and the practical absence of justice by the law in their daily lifes. Most don't know how to turn that around becoz they understand for the moment it doesn't matter who wins any election coz there ain't no Gandhi or Mandela around for them. Most don't speak about all that but in their hearts feel and know it.

Pointless in trying to argue and convince them the Western way just make them aware on an individual basis grounded on confidence. Don't overdue that would be counterproductive. The word goes around rather well from mouth to ear. Foremost ship ur self-complacency arrogance and cynism one way to farang country in case u brought it with u. They are already overexposed to fascist pigs of their own race they really don't need any more from some other race.

  9. Thanks for posting, filippos, member number 1,615. You joined 18 months ago - sure took your time to say something... :o

You are bad news. You talk too much saying nothing however trying to intimidate and insinuate way too much.

Some more or less accurate facts :

1995 estimates of the total revenue from prostitution in Thailand is approximately 59-60% of the government's budget for that year.....

THAILAND: estimates of women in prostitution range from 300,000 to 2.8 million, of which a third are minors and children. Thai women are also in prostitution in many counties in Asia, Australia, Europe and the US. Some 4.6 million Thai men regularly, and 500,000 foreign tourists annually, use prostituted women and girls. Some estimates put the number of under-age prostitutes in Thailand at 400,000 (Asiaweek, February 7, 1997)

    National Post

    Peter Goodspeed

Thailand touts sex tax as huge revenue stream

Government debates legalizing a notorious and profitable trade

full content of that IMHO intresting article :

    http://www.walnet.org/csis/news/world_2003...ost-031128.html

IMHO in five years from new the sex industry in Th will have changed dramatically. The visible part of it will then be subject to stricter controls both over the actors and venues and (more) taxes will be levied directly and indirectly. The real political motifs to do so will be dubious and the political agenda hidden.

In the end the cost for the prostituants will increase becoz of the increased controls and taxes decreasing the supply by visible prostitutes resulting in TH comparatively being a less attractive destination for low cost sextourism. TH political and business elites will make efforts to compensate for that by proposing a more family oriented tourist environment.

  10. The problem with the Moslem faith... for the rest of us is... they do not care if they die in the name of Allah... The promise of Heaven and surrounded by 40 virgins if they die in the name of Allah. And they BELIEVE it. So, to chuck an atom bomb at the infidels is no problem for them, even if they receive several in return. And don't worry, 'when' it happens the USA will know where it came from. Personally I do not think the USA will let it get that far... They cannot afford to. My guess is the USA will do a deal with Israel and the Israelies will knock out the instilations. The War on Terrorism cannot end... as the man said, "This is a differnt kind of war." :o

The Israelis will certainly bomb Iran's nuclear stockpile if at all possible. From what I have read, Iran has put everything nuclear very deep underground. They saw what happened to Saddam's French built nuclear reactor back in the 80s. It may not be possible to destroy their stockpile from the air. That means a clandestine attack by Special Force types. Isreal and the US simply cannot live with a radical Islamic state such as Iran joining the nuclear club. Isreal will do whatever it takes to keep nuclear weapons out of Islamic hands. They know all to well what could happen. Being surrounded by enemies will focus your mind on staying alive.

This is assuming that negoiations do not succeed in convincing the Iranians to stop trying to build nuclear weapons. I think we all hope that the talks succeed. :D

I don't give a phuck about them nuke-talks. Who is talking anyway them Euro-cowards hé. I don't give a shit them muslims have nukes coz i got biiiiggggeeeeer nukes u c. Never mind them Koreans in the end i'll get them. What's the big deal hé coz i'm gonna get aaaalllll the tourists first anyway. Well that's what my black Foreign Secretary advised me yesterday. ###### right she is. Go figure why the other black on the job didn't tell me. Anyway nobody can say i'm a racist not even them damned muslims. Time for golf now.

  11. No idea.  Never had to use any goons.

Make sure anyone who takes out a loan/credit line signs a power of attorney (to transfer title on their property) to go along with the standard loan agreement.   Paper clip them together (buy the cheaper plastic ones to save a few Baht, they also don't mark/rust on the documents... especially on those longer term loans).

That's all the muscle you need.    This isn't some HK or Hollywood movie.

    :D

I c use the cheaper plastic paper clips in stead of the metal ones. On a modest five percent intrest a month loan must tremendously boost the profit margin :o Or may be u have high cost of sales to hire body guards to protect ur miserable loanshark life ? :D Might also explain some of them unsolved suicide murders on some farang ain't it ? Not HK or Hollywood movie sure it's LOS even cruelty with :D would serve a loanshark right.

  12. I say good riddance to the cheap charlies

Thailand didn't change the fee structure for some 18 years. If there had been gradual increases it would have passed without comment. One has to feel sorry for those poor poverty struck Brit lawyers :o

Them cheap charly lawyers don't matter... just them way tooo greedy TH govs and their freaking mole like mouthpieces.

In a nutshell : gradual fee increases would make people blind :D

that's a new one .... heard same same about tossing too much... all nonsens of course even a blind mole knows that :D

Now comes the difficult part : u can bed ur sweet ass them cheap charlie lawyers went on a biiiggggg tiiiimee shopping spree was it MY or HK or SG..... just take a wiiiiiiiiiild guess ... well i'll spell it out for u : them cheap charlie lawyers did knowingly and willfully spend their biiiig tiiiiime phucking money the next day OUTSIDE of phucking TH :D

  13. It is true. When she overstay or get caught working illegally, her passport will be confiscated and if it is expired, the passport won't be re-new too. And she will also be blacklisted from applying for another passport for 2 to 5 years.

When she is able to apply, they will be more stringent to issue her the passport. Whereas if she is married to a foreigner and can prove that she have sufficient fund in her accounts to travel, she will be issue with the passport again.

Couple of things that will be taken into account:-

    1. She is married to a foreigner and supported by husband and/or

    2. Have sufficient fund to travel and/or

    3. Have someone influential to back-up her application and/or

    4. Have a good paying and stable job waiting for her back in Thai.

You do not need to put in fund into her account if you are married to her. As long as you can prove that you are married, you just need to show them your account statement. That would be sufficient enough.

    Hope that this help.  :o

Mmmmhh quite intresting i must say.

Now then the good news :

    The following international treaty

    http://www.ohchr.org/english/law/ccpr.htm

    ratified by TH

    http://www.ohchr.org/english/countries/rat...ation/4.htm#N10

    reads : "

    Article 12 ....

    2. Everyone shall be free to leave any country, including his own.

    3. The above-mentioned rights shall not be subject to any restrictions except those which are provided by law, are necessary to protect national security, public order (ordre public), public health or morals or the rights and freedoms of others, and are consistent with the other rights recognized in the present Covenant. ...."

furthermore TH did not make any declarations nor reservations relative to that article, see :

    http://www.ohchr.org/english/countries/ratification/4_1.htm

Based on the reported facts that refusal to issue a passport is based on a so called 'illegal overstay' in JP and assuming according to TH penal law no offenses were comitted at least no convictions pronounced for that fact, therefore :

TH authorities are not legally entitled to refuse issuance of a valid international passport to the person concerned since the facts of the case on hand do NOT fall under any of the restrictions of art 12 § 3 therefore : art 12 § 2 applies which definitely implies on regular request a valid international passport has to be provided.

So the 'marriage obligation' as a 'condition' for a passport to be issued is legal nonsense. @farang24 : those suggesting or advising whether or not it is wise or not u marry her, are pathetic tossers.

BTW this might be handy to obtain some more legal info on the matter :

    http://www.nhrc.or.th/en/

  14. DON'T!!

You have to buy a return so you can come back here.

Returns are much cheaper here than the UK.

    Very true.

Even only 3 to 4 days prior to departure u should be able to get a six month open return BKK-LON for max 25k baht with max 1 stopover and max travel time 18 hours (that would be max 3 to 4 hours stopover waiting).

In case checked luggage allowance important inform coz limit could be as low as 20 kilo on some promotional fares with 10 to 15% discount on above price. The lower the rate the bigger the chance u'll fly Asian/M-E rather than Euro/Aus carrier.

  15. I pay for sex with Gogo Boys!!

See ya sucking guys! ( In Jenny Star Bar and Soi Pttyland 3)

Blimey!!! I see what he meant about seeing things I would never (want to ) see.

    :D

    Naughty, naughty.

    Hmmmm.... :D

Just how do you know about Jenny Star Bar and Soi Pttyland 3? :D

U really don't get it do u :o : ... the 25ish khun farangse who wants to learn more about PTY by guiding chaps who don't know squad about it ... yes indeed the one u called 'frog' told him :D

  16. Loan it out at 5% interest per month.

    Investment:

-A few 30 Baht notebooks from your local school supply store.

-Some pens (get whatever is on sale).

With some diligence, you'll be able to pick up some real estate on the way.

    :D

What's the going rate for a couple of TH goons these days ?

What's the best deal : hire a hit at the time or pay a periodical fixed fee kind of credit insurance ? :o
