the car is on my wife's name, the downpayment was 30% so they did not require a guarantor. do you think that max 3-week delay would cause so many problems?

I haven't secure the loan against anything. I just would like to know if anybody has an idea what thai law says about it.

I have just sent them an e-mail in which i described my situtation. Hope everything will be ok. I know Thais who were late up to 3 months. My thai friend told me that 3 month is the maximum period for being late.

I'm affraid i will have to miss my payment for my car. my due date is 10th of each month however won't be able to do it until 27.

I have bought a car 18 months ago and so far didn't miss or was late with anything (payment, insurance).

What is going to happen? How many payment can you miss without losing your car?

I know back home is 3 payment, but have no idea about here.

Buying and selling rice. 

About this time of the year quite a few people are short of money and are selling this year's rice crops for cash now.  The going rate is 3x80 kilograms bags of rice for 1000 baht.  Once the rice is harvested towards the end of the year you receive the rice.  It can be sold on again in the New Year for 600 baht per bag. could be a nice little earner for the wife!

And btw my wife works so I do not have to worry about this too much - just need some extra money for myself :-)

I am thinking about opening a business in Issan.

But to be honest have no idea what to open.

Anuban Ratchaburi - opposite Robinson

Hey guys! Could somebody pulleeeeese tell me if there are some decent schools in Ratchaburi? I have a 4-yr old, soon to turn 5, and I need to find a school for him, because we're planning to move there soon.

Anuban Ratchaburi - as far as i know they have EP (english programm).

I have been living here, in Ratchaburi for over a year and love the city - we have Tesco, Robinson (Tops, Boots), Big C is comming - this is what my friends told me. Anyway is very close to Nakhon Pathom - 50 km - Big C, Tesco, Macro. Very close to shopping malls in Bangkok - just 1.5 hours. And cost of living here is much lower than in Bangkok.

I used to live in Suphanburi and passed Singburi a few times on my way to Buriram (saraburi). Looked very boring to me. But I'm sure thay have quite a big disco, called "Dollar" or "Money" (there is the dollar symbol above the entrance).

We all have to understand that TIT. Here all the airports are international. This is like being a professional here - if you do something for more than a day you are a professional. Spoken once to a tattoo "artist" (of couse he said he was a professional with a lot of experience) and asked him how long had he been doing this for and his answer was - a week.

All the airports in Issan are international, since majority of passengers is from abroad (international) - visiting their "wives" and "girlfriends" from Pattaya.

In my opinion new cars are better option. I wouldn't trust a car which has been used by thais - they do not know how to drive (majority) and how to maintain it - for them it's just washing it.

I dunno.....My inlaws are looking for help harvesting their rice!....they will pay you 110 baht for a 10 hour day.

DO NOT take Highway 24 in Siklo!!!

Do way through Korat/Buriram is much better - you have a nice highway to Korat and then not a bad road to Buriram and then Surin.

I go to Buriram quite often, took 24 once and will never do it again.
