This really hits home the severity in Thailand for crimes involving stealing money. Regardless of whether the sentence was to long or not long enough the fact is now in black and white if you steal money in Thailand by fraud or deception your are going down for years and years end of story. I simply can not fathom what the feeling must be like to be sentenced to 18 years in a Thai jail. Other then hope your going to be pardoned i really do not see any point in living. That surely is enough now to deter people from doing the same thing and if it isn't then you must be medically insane.

Resentment does no harm to the person against whom you hold these feelings for but every day and every night of your life, they are eating you away.

Sitting down on a warm Sunday with wife and kids, grandmas, grandads, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and friends sipping on scotch and soda whilst everyone busies around producing an inordinate amount of food (most of which I don't eat) and whiling the afternoon away.

Tuk Tuks in Bangkok, Street Vendor Carts, as mentioned The Wai (love that to bits) the care free happy nature of locals, floating markets, the temples and monks, Loi Krathong.... Don't think I would change much at all.

After living in a damp, cold depressing climate for 37 years the heat here really is a joy. I find sleeping downstairs more cooler then upstairs as heat rises and i don't like air con so ceiling fan, shorts, t-shirt and windows open works well for me and drink plenty of water very very important!

More pedestrian crossings with traffic lights wouldn't go a miss.

I here what your saying, what I mean it is not right to generalize people in Pattaya, Thailand or anywhere else in the world with short hair and Tattoos as layabout yob. How about the ones with long hair and no tattoos can we call them unkempt, scruffy nerds?
