Does anybody know anything about this company. I am currently applying for a job with them in Brunei?

I am an American Guy, I have lived in Thailand 5 years, Brittan 6 months, Spain a month and France a month, the British behavior while on holiday is outrageous. I fully understand the Spanish Government arresting them repeatedly, if not in bulk and deporting them, Drunk and fighting every night in the pubs, France too. There were bars in France where I couldn't get a drink until I showed my passport to prove I was not British. Thailand is a little further, we can hope only the somewhat more responsible Britts get that far from home, that they might not still be somewhat special, I have no doubt. Behave yourselves! English speakers around the world suffer the consequences of what U do on Holiday!

From what I understand on the document, these are internal domestic police checks- presumably to see if you've been arrested or penalised for any kind of offense in Thailand. This is not yet, from what I can see, the worst case scenario of having to figure out how to get back ground reports from one's home country in a timely and accurate way, and then worrying about how charges from one's youth will affect one's presence here.

Are you sure the Thai check is internal only.

Would you know if I need to get a UK check done as well- in order to get the visa.

My query is, is the Thai police check only an internal Thai check. Is this sufficient t get a work permit.

Or, should I get one done from the UK, which costs a lot more.

Any advice would be welcome.

Can I just ask, if the Thai police check is an internal check only.

I was advised that the Thai police, took your personal and passport information to check it against police records from your country of origen.This is in addittion to making checks in Thailand. Is this correct.

I am in the process of applying for a job in Thailand, but am worried about going through the whole visa application process, because it looks like a minefield.

I have appliad for a basic disclosure certificate from the UK. But I won't have it by the time I hit Thailand, and start my proposed new job. Also do I need to get the basic disclosure certificate signed by the Foriegn Office.

Any advice would be appreciated.
