As my friend speaks little English and it' s hard for him to get someone at the phone at the Thai embassy that speaks German, I have a few questions for him here. He wants to visit a friend, living in Ubon Ratchathani, to stay away from the cold winter in Germany. He won't have costs for  accommodation and will turn 50yo in November. As he is disabled, he want's to travel with his friend end of August, so he hasn't to travel by himself. He doesn't need a wheelchair, but walks on sticks from time to time. Could you please advice him what kind of visa will suit him? And perhaps a health insurance, as he couldn't find one that will cover former illnesses. Thank you in advance

Definitely the worst food I ever had in Thailand, especially the duck. I love the food stalls in the streets, when they´re gone Thailand will lose alot of attraction to me.

Sorry for misunderstanding me at first, my stepson finished the 9th. grade at an elementary school. So i guess he will have to visit another school to qualify for a university ( I doubt he will visit a Uni). Is there something like a business college he can go to?´I doubt also that he will be top performer, neither he´ll be in a management position. More like a waiter or bartender I guess, still all my best wishes for the lad´s future.

My stepson finished school here in Germany and will go back to Thailand now. He is interested to work in tourism and/or hotel, what kind of school can he visit in Bangkok to get further education that prepares him to work in this field ? He speaks really good German, his English is ok and he can read and write both languages. His thai writing skills are a little rusted, but he still can read. Preferably in the Sathorn area?

I loved Suan Lum, for me it was a really great place eating out cheap and let the kids run. I even enjoyed the entertainment there. Can you please suggest a nice place with thai food, child friendly, live music,open air and in the sathorn area? ( i miss Suan Lum)

I´ll be in Sra Kaeow in 4 weeks and wouldlike to know if there is a quality tattoo artist in that area? I know that the tourist areas are a lot better to find a professional, but I have limited time there.

I look for suggestions to travel from Sa Kaeo via Korat to Vientienne. First I wanted to do the trip with a rental Chopper, but I couldn´t find a rental shop in the I-net that rents out big bikes in BKK plus allowance to cross the border to Laos. I wovers want to visit friends, perhaps the best way to cure hang overs will be travelling by bus. Does anyone know the best route, or is travelling by train also possible ? Is a flight available from Petchaboon, then I will change my plans to Sa Kaeo-Korat-Petchaboon-Vientienne ?

Since I had my own economic crisis I haven´t been to LOS since November 2005.As my MIL just died recently we have to travel this year in July/August.

I´ll have my own car and after the big party I would like to enjoy the rest of my holiday at the beach. Pattaya is a big no-no, but I consider any other location. We´ll have our own car and I´m willing to drive up to 6 hours from Sa Kaeow. My guess is Chantaburi, Koh Chang, Rayong,Koh Samed, Hua Hin and Cha Am would fit, but where will it rain less? Then I will need accomodation for wifey and me plus our 4 & 6 year old kids; I definitly need privacy so we need 2 bedrooms and a pool will be nice. Does anybody have a recommendation up to 50€ per night (9 nights)during that time of year?

My wife sends 4000 Baht every 2 months of her income to mommy.Sometimes 1000 Baht more for medicine, the other sibblings help also as much as they can, so mommy has round-a-bout 7000 Baht a month, no rent to pay. As I understand the system is that the kids give as much as they can, so your mil might assume you can give more ??? Get your wife a job and she can send as much as she wants to of her income; wait what the mother will get then.

My wife will be in BKK on Wednesday to buy a walking frame for her mother and some other stuff like disposable diapers. Where can she get a decent quality in BKK, preferably Sathorn/Sukhumvit area?

I can´t drink more than 6 large beers anywhere in the world.So even at 120baht a beer I´m not spending much on a night out.

Bring her back to her family, if you don´t speak Thai try to find someone that you can trust in with you. Tell her family what her problem is,leave her there.You can´t do much more in my opinion.
