  1. It depends on what you actually have. Do you have a valid multiple non-B visa or a single non-B visa or or you o an extension of stay from immigration in Thailand.

Only if you hold a valid multiple non-B visa can you just leave. in all other cases you need to ge a re-entry permit before you leave, at a cost of 1,000 baht OR get a new visa before you return.

If I need to leave to indo for 5 days and I am on a single non-b (currently waiting to apply for my work permit), am I still eligible to get a re-entry permit??

Yes you can get one at your local office. It has nothing to do with waiting for your WP.

Is it possible to get the re-entry stamp at swampy?

  2. Thanks Beano, I will do that!

Lopburi, we have just started up our company and getting everything in order with accountants & lawyers etc before we can proceed to that stage, so thats the reason why im waiting to apply for WP. Its a bit of a confusing situation, but we should be applying in the next 2 weeks....But I might need to leave for 5 days on this Sunday which is short, my non-b ends in August.

Thanks for the comments guys much appreciated!

  6. You have to leave the country and can return straight away, after having entered and left another country.

You don't need any docs for that, other than maybe pay for a visa for the other country.

Thank you for the reply, Will now try to find a good place to go. Always used to do the cambodia runs on my Non-O but not sure they do them now!

    Thanks again Mario!

  7. I'm curious how you got a 1 yr non-B ? Normally they issue only 30 or 90 days don't they? Then after that you get the 1 year am I right Mario or not?

Got a 1 year multiple entry non-b from Hull in the UK. Had the company send over its document for wanting me to work and sent it right back! Just the work permit is taking a little longer than I anticipated!

  8. Been searching around the forum/google and got alot of mixed answers to this question, also from out dated posts. Plus I dont have the work permit yet.

Im on a non-b multiple entry visa. My first 90 days is up and I wanted to know, do I either have to report to immigration or leave the country and come back in? The work permit has not been done yet, application will be sent off next month which is after the 1st entry is up. If Its to report or leave, do I have to have any docs with me?

    Any help is appreciated, thanks!

  9. Hi guys,

I am from the UK and have been on a Non-O for the past 2 years (two 1yr O visa's so far) and about to go into my 2nd extension on the second year.

I am joining a company here and wanting to change to the Non-B (to get wp), but heres the dilema. To change to the Non-B I need to either go out of the country (singapore as I have done that before) and change to the Non-B, or go to cambodia and change to tourist and go through the process of changing to a Non-B which the company's HR dept says is possible. The reason I would prefer to do the tourist option is because going to singapore + hotels etc is going to be 15k+ and then its not even 100% sure and still might have change to tourist if that does not work out.

Im not sure what to do, has anyone ever gone through the process of going from tourist -> Non B within thailand? Or is there another way to make this possible?

    Thanks,

    Dan

  10. Ah, well this is designing sound / sound effects / composing etc for an XBOX games developer. This restricted for only Thais?!

I know half of the staff are Thai but about shareholders and capital, no clue - seems pretty comfortable atm.

Ok, I will talk to them and see what they say about a lawyer, thank you very much for the help!

    Much love TV!

Afaik your job is not on any restricted list. And could easily be proven to need you as a 'special professional' in your field.

Was recently employed long-term by a company that developed xbox(360) games locally, might be something to look into also. There are a few of them out there.

(Or try to get employed halftime locally, get WP, extension based on work/family income and then the off-hour contract work might be something you can handle anyway...)

that's good to know! Which company are you talking about? I only know of one company in bkk! Are they Thai or western company?!

Also, what did you mean by your last paragraph..not quite sure what you were getting at :)
