I get large breed Royal Canin for my Dalmatian, Bull Terrier & Weimaraner. Its 1990 Baht for 15kg from my local pet food shop. On Facebook there is a new Thai brand called Wolflicious that looks interesting as its grain free & its 1200 Baht for 15kg. Royal Canin isn't the best I'd rather have grain free organic dog biscuits but the price is prohibitive here.

    look interesting, thanks

Choose the strongest and tallest one.

Street / village dogs can be a problem and I have had them rip through wire netting to break into the chicken coop a few times (and then go for me when I tried to chase them off at 3am in the morning)….The top pic looks the strongest one.

    thanks mate

  3. Hello,

I'm looking for the cheaper solution to build the walls of our house. Of course, i want something strong and with a good insulation. What do you think about using standard red bricks ? If i use it in the width ? I mean if the brick are 190 mm x 90 mm x 90 mm, the wall thickness will be 190mn. Other possibility ? Use 2 layers of red bricks so it will be 990+90mn) = 180mn. What do you think please ? My home builder will be paid per sqm so it's not important for me if he has a lot of work ????

    Cheers

I spoke to the wife and she spoke to our builder and others.
    Sorry mate..no can do.
1.They are all busy with jobs.
    2. The daily travelling distance..over 80k ×2 daily.
3.Very soon they'll be busy re their farms.
However, there is a large Robinsons store being built directly accross from the Chaiyaphum Ram Hospital..due to open this coming december. Why dont your wife and yourself go to the site and talk with some of the workforce..plenty builders there right now I would imagine.
    Regards.

How many bedrooms etc are you looking at..how much land is there..will you be building a wall around the house etc
Tell me your job specs because I roughly know what the builder can do for "x" amount.

I want to build a 98sqm house with 2 bedrooms and 2 bahrooms.

Yes we plan to build a wall around our 1,5 rai land. I would prefer a builder ask a price per sqm (labrd only). I will buy myself the materials.

The AAC Blocks are a better solution. Your living experiences will be better and your PEA bill much lower. Consider the AAC steel reinforced lintels which are readily available in Buriram Isaan and other provinces of Thailand when you build a home. The cost can vary depending on brand and how far your home builders merchants is from the AAC block plants.  No such thing as direct to your Thailand home building site from the factory on this product unless you rent a fork lift and have pavement suitable for a semi truck and the forklift.

AAC "superblocks" cost between 15 to 20 baht each, at 8.3 blocks per sq.m., so 125-160 baht/sq.m., plus the special "adhesive" (not ordinary mortar!) at 3kg/sq.m, 150baht/50kg bag, so roughly 9 baht/sq.m.....total 135-170 baht per sq.m. depending on brands, current special deals, how bargain savvy you are, etc.

Concrete blocks are 12.5/sq.m, at 8(?) baht each, so around 100 baht/sq.m. but I reckon the mortar will cost more. I forget how much mortar per sq.m ......definitely more than the AAC adhesive though.

So a single skin concrete block wall might be cheaper but hotter, and a double skin will be more expensive. But, no make it BUT, in the long run AAC will save you money on cooling costs, it also has better sound absorbtion. Also AAC blocks can be cut and trimmed to shape where necessary to fit into odd corners etc, so there should be little waste. And they are a lot quicker to lay so you should reduce the labour costs slightly too.

Thanks Mate very interesting informations ????
