If I come across a young sop worker using a calculator to subtract 25 from 100, I take the calculator off them and tell them to use their brain to work it out, or what remains of it will deteriorate more quickly than it seems already to have done.
Yeah right,i bet you do this all the time,by the way whats a sop?

So does anyone know what the house of sausage, sausages are like or the price?

Is a world where everyone is a success really so very bad, Surely its this attitude that half of us have moved over here for.
Would you be saying the same thing if you was being operated on by a doctor who had passed all his exams, when really he hadn't but was passed anyway due to the no fail policy,i think not.

i can offer some up to date info on this subject coz im having anti rabies injections at the moment.
pre bite .... its three totaly painless injections over 30 days @ about 600 baht each
after a bite ( page two ) ..... its five totaly painless injections over 30 days @ about 600 baht each and you are coverd for five years then you need a top up
Where did you get these prices for the pre-bite injections?Do they do these at the likes of RAM and Suan Dok?600bahtx3 is a really good price as i was quoted £180 from my GP in the UK.

I was planning to bring to 2 carton box contaning total of 20 packs of my favourite brand, since they are probally totally different in thailand. Am I risking being fined for this?? I am leaving in 2 days.

If you are in Chiang mai you can hire both Nouvo Elegance and Hayate from a hire shop on Khampangdin Road, drive up Loi Kroh from the moat and then turn right onto Khampangdin before the little bridge and its about 200metres down on your left hand side.I hired them both from here to see which one i liked best before i bought,200baht per day.

I'm expecting, these guys will get the same deal as the jet crew that was smuggling North Korean missiles and other arms bound for the Middle East until they had to land in BKK... Being sent home without any indictment here...because their home countries asked for their return.
Sounds just about right for the Turkish guys scamming credit cards... No harm to Thailand, no foul... Just pack them back to their home country, and all is well...
They'll be lucky if that happens,a bloke from the UK doing this in Phuket got 18years
Hope they get sent away for long time...20M baht is just pure greed.I say fry them. Just imagine the grief that this trio has caused everywhere they walk.
What for credit card fraud, give your head a shake.

I've often wondered about possible ways to avoid UK flight taxes, VAT etc.
I have just seen an online price for Manchester to Bangkok. It was £186 ! The only trouble was taxes were an additiona £282, total £468.
The UK government are incredibly greedy.
That is an absolute disgrace and there's nothing the public can really do about it.

Taxi from LCCT(low cost carrier terminal)to KLCC(kuala lumpur city centre)cost me 71RM.
Stayed in Corus Hotel in KLCC,booked on Agoda and standard room cost £29 GBP.
Can't help you about the visa as i didn't go to the embassy but have read on TV that you hand in passport before 12.30pm then pick up day after at 2.30pm same as Vientianne but more organised.

KL will currently ask to see a bank account with 100k or more in it to issue such a multi entry visa. But yes you can do that if the Consulate you visit will issue the visa.
Cheers lopburi3,would that need to be a thai bank account or just a proof of funds in any account or even just cash or travellers cheques?

For the OP's consideration just in case money and time is a factor in trying to decide between ED and Non-O Multi visas.
I've been staying here for the past 3 years on Non-O with multi entries - doing visa runs every 90 days.
Below is a breakdown of my cost to stay here in Thailand for up to 15 months each time I renew my Non-O Visa:
My last Visa Trip from Bangkok to Perth.
Bangkok to KL round trip with Air Asia.......... 5,600 baht
KL to Perth round trip with Air Asia............... 6,500 baht
2 nights at Travellodge Perth...................... 3,900 baht (Actually I stayed at Crowne Plaza which is more expensive)
4 times visa runs @ 2000 baht.................... 8,000 baht
===========
Total 24,000 baht
Of course the above total cost of 24,000 baht may vary depending on airlines and hotel, etc.
The visa frees me up as I don't have to attend school, although if I want to I can. At this time in my life I don't want the responsibility of having to be any place 3 days a week every week. Therefore this Non-O visa suits my lifestyle much better.
Ooops... don't forget the Cost of the Visa itself charged by the Thai Consulate: $175 USD (?)
sorry to take a new thread in the OP topic but after seeing the reply to his queries from the members , i felt that the people reading and replying are really have a good knowledge about visa.could anyone just tell me , to get a extension on NON-O marriage visa , what is the requirement...... 400 K in bank for 2-3 months before applying or 40 K / month salary or Both. i heard that for the new applicants it requires to meet both the conditions?
awaiting reply ..
it is 400,000 in the bank for 2 months OR 40,000 a month.I'm just wondering could you,
get a non o visa based on visiting friends from Hull/Perth or other friendly consulates and during your 15 month stay marry your thai spouse.
Then go say to Kuala Lumpur and get another non o visa based on marriage without the need to show funds in a thai bank account and do visa runs every 90 days and just do this for the next 15months,then repeat again?I thought you could get a non o visa for visiting your wife from any consulate, just wondering if this would be ok to those who know all about visas

Agreed, generally asking what regiment they were in or their number is met by stammering and drivel.
