You should not have a problem entering on your Thai passport. If the officer makes a problem out of it ask for supervisor to sort it out. There is no written requirement for you to have a departure stamp from here in your passport.

I think he was asking about an exit stamp for Thailand.

Thank You I am Glad to hear . I will let the person know what you and all have told me. :-)

  2. Allow me to add another thing to this debate.
If you have a Thai passport never used because the passport holder had another nationality when the passport was issued, and therefore had entered at that country's passport and departed at the same passport.
Now, this person who is born Thai but has lived in an (EU) country for more than 30 years would like to use the newly acquired Thai passport by next visit to Thailand.
Will there be any problems on arrival, because there is no exit stamp in the Thai passport?

    Went today for 90 reporting.

Got in pressed the button 90days to get a ticket.

As it was printed my number up on the display - no time to sit down - went straight to desk 4.

Handed over my passport to the nice lady - she even managed a little smile in response to my

    sawadee krap

She said: sit down please - I just said hello to a friend of mine who happend to be there as well.

Not even 1 minute later the immigration offficer handed the passport back to me - done -

In and out in less than 2 minutes

Think this is a new record - keep it up !!!

Which visa type? I can also do it with Nonimigrant - O? Can I do it at the national border?

Chiang Mai Immigration, please take note thumbsup.gif

I was out there today and I even had an appointment. In at 1.00 pm. out by 5.00 pm. You used to get your passport back in about a half hour or less with the new visa at the airport now its over 2 hours. One Stop yes Service hardly. In the old office at the airport it was in and out with an appointment in about 1 hour. Now with the queue system down I really shudder about next year. When one guy asked about the queue system not working he was told they are redesigning the website yeah sure. They have ample room for more desks. Most of the faces were new to me except one or two. The visa agents next door were getting a lot of inquires and one fellow told he inquired there and they just recently had bumped up the price. Put out a low ball price and once you have them signed up sock it to them. One fellow was there at 5.00 a.m. and hoping to get his passport back by 1.00 p.m. Went to the KFC for lunch terrible food the stuff must have been under the lights all day tough. Glad the g/f talked me out of ordering a bucket. I said not spicy didn't matter got spicy. To tired to argue. Sorry all you love it or leave it crowd that's the way it was.

  4. Suthep should be in police custody already! How can a law breaker judge a government?

How can a convicted criminal run a country?

This is the wish of the majority of the Thai people, because this government has been elected free and regular.

Just do not understand the party's name "Democrats". As I see it, they do not accept the majority's decision, only they (the elite of thailand) are democrat's, not the regular people.

  5. "Each year Thailand gets a lot of revenue from the tourism industry - but the government has never used money from this industry to develop and support tourism," she said.

Well, I've got to admit that it's good on her, Tourism Council of Thailand president Piyaman Tejapaibul, to admit this. That's a rather reveal.

As if we had any doubts regarding who truly benefits from foreign money. Surely not the tourists. Funny how TV can be so accurate sometimes.

I do notice over the last months that the Thai apologist brigade have gone almost completely dark silent. Interesting.

How can we (tourists) with a travel insurance be a burden to the thai health program, we pay for all treatment with our insurance?

I see this as an copy off there ten double pricing for admit to their parks and other attractions.

  6. Came to southern Sisaket 5 years ago. Real prices have doubled in 5 years (meuang prices more than that). The silly asked-for prices have got (well.. just really so much sillier). I can't think of a time in my 40 year investing history when rises such as this were not a signal for a crash.

In this climate - Rent - for gawd's sake. Not wise to join the rush from country to town when it is at such fever pacesmile.png

[it is now more expensive to buy some houses in Ubon than it is to buy an equivalent property in my native Yorkshire. Real average wages in Yorkshire are at least 5 times higher than in Ubon]

Yes, it's seems to go star high price at this moment.

And I belive too that it is ending as in the late '90. So keep your money in your purse a vile longer and see

    You want buy or not?

Sent from my ST27a using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

Oh, yes want to buy when the right plot in the right place and to the right price show up.

Just waiting to see what happens to the east-asian economy over the next year or two. Suppose something is gonna happens soon.

  8. I know of 3 rai of land for sale in that area. It is just north of Huai Charamae and to the left inland about 1 km on a tar seal road. PM me if you want more information.

    Hi Michael

Can You tell more about this lot? In which "Ban" is it situated an how big is it and what is the price?

    regards

    tage

The land is in Nong Gair. Area is just under 3 rai at 2.9 rai. Price is 10 million baht. Phew. I asked the vender how was this price arrived at. Was informed that bare rice paddy land nearby has been sold for 2 million baht/rai. The vender's land ,however, is a nice rectangle, all the land has been levelled and raised up with fill ready for building construction, there is local council water to the property plus storm water drainage pipes. I didn't reralise how much prices have increased in that area over the past two areas. Must be to do with the Provincial Government offices moving out to that area.

    Hi Michael

I agree, the price are up hogher than in Bangkok.

Do have land i Khowang, just want to setle down somewher around Ubon if posible.

  9. Start putting redshirts in jail.

Abhisit and his gang should respect the people.

Remember he is not elected by an democratic election. He took the power by the militarys help (and I supose some more "unsuspest elemments" help too).

Let the democratic elected seat rule the country, then there mybe will be democracy in Thailand someday.

If you want the read shirts jailed, remember the YELOW SHIRTS too. They have to go in jail first, the broke the law and the constitution. That the red shirt never had

  10. Well there were some whining that Jingthing's reference to a POLL was wrong and biased.

Here's their chance to VOTE ONCE, and we can see what TVF people think of the situation.

So far lets just say, it appears 'Statistically significant'.

    One man, One vote.

Trouble is I suspect that a lot of these 'political debators' :) , have multi accounts, multi pseudonyms, and will probably have been reincarnated 6 or 7 times before Sunday :D

The vote will still show at least 3;1 against the reds, unlike what the red supporters say/believe.

    Personally I voted B.

Public surveys in Thailand show about 1 in 3 Thais support the Red cause.

That's just totally false. No legitimate and credible survey of the sort you describe has been performed.

Why to people choose to hide in the web and spout false statements?

You hate to think they do it on purpose but the conclusion is clear you made a false claim.

About the nearest thing to a guess is the results of the last 2 elections and even with them it is just a guess.

    Stop with the false claims.
