This crime was hard to read about. RIP to the victim and I hope the family and friends of the victim will find peace. It was good police work to find this animal as he belongs in a cage, but I fear he will not live long in prison. It is only a matter of who in prison will want to make a name for themselves by ending this animals life, or it is possible a family member or friend of the victim is already in prison waiting for a chance to be near him. I would not condone any more killing, but the reality of the stuation is clear.

They stated it takes 6 - 7 hours to get from Pattaya to Hua Hin. I have taken a bus from Pattaya to Bangkok and it takes a little more than 1 hour, and less time at night. I have taken a bus from Bangkok to Hua Hin, and that takes about 3.5 hours with less time at night. Both modes of travel have a similar degree of danger, but some people get sea sick more than others. Cheers and be well.

Hello, the man is going to Thailand to face charges so he is not guilty of anything. If he is convicted, he might spend a few years in a Thai prison before he will ask to be transfered to a prison in the UK. The Thai government and people do not want to pay for a foreigner to live the next 50 or more years in their prison so the transfer will be completed. He is still not guilty of anything now, but there should be substantial evidence so the courts in the Uk will approve the extradition. Cheers

Hello, I do not know what the Thai legal definition of when life begins so I can not know if the woman will be charged with 1st degree intentional homicide. My condolences to the people that found the baby at the airport, the police that had to work this case, the people at the hospital that had to do the autopsy, the family of the woman that know how callous the child was killed, the father of the child who may not know he was going to be a father, to the people that read about this crime, and for the people that will have to be in the same prison as this woman for all her life. My profound condolences to the baby that can not understand why her mother could not love her or at the very least take care of her for a short time until she could give the baby to any other person that would take care of her. It is a another sad example of selfish psychotic behavior that does not belong in our society, and people should teach their children about this so they will not repeat it.

Hello, how did the bags not get checked with an xray like in other countries? Some criminal organizations will be looking at this story and know they can get away with almost anything including drugs or bombs. Surely the airport people must have to answer to this as well because it is not acceptable under any circumstances, and the Thai airport workers should get high praise for looking in the bags. It is sad that the person or people did escape so they will never pay for their crime.

Are there many thousands of people from Burma, Cambodia, China, and Laos working illegal in Thailand too or do the government officials in Thailand get paid to look the other way? Are there thousands of young ladies working in massage businesses being made to use their body for prostitution or do the government officials get paid to look the other way? How many people are the foreigners hurting or how many jobs do the foreigners take when they play music in a bar and can the foreigners make enough money to support themselves? To debate the government officials in Thailand is futile as they will always win an arguement because they are Thai. Good luck to fight this crackdown.

Hello, it is a good thing to try to quit smoking but I found the most difficult part of quitting was the psychological and emotional. I used the lozenges for a few weeks at the start of my quest because the physical dependancy as I smoked about 20 a day for more than 30 years, and I took a week off of work so I would not assult anyone as I was going through withdrawl. A big thing for me was learning how to live without smoking like waking up and going through the morning routine, driving, eating, and all the other daily life activities. I told myself I was a non-smoker 1000 times a day to brain wash myself because that is what I wanted to be, and I did reduce the number of lozenges every week so that I only used one a day after waking up the last week of 4 that I needed to use them. I never dreamed about smoking or having a smoke in my sleeping dreams before I quit smoking, but I have had a number of dreams when I was sleeping that I was smoking so it is like losing a friend. Good luck to all that try to quit smoking, and keep trying to quit as I hope you can get some ideas from this post. At this time I have quit smoking for 4 years and 7 months, and I have no interest in smoking and I do not think about it as much now too. It does get better in time, and I did love to smoke. Cheers

Hello, a crackdown is certainly in order at the cinema so more government people can get paid to do nothing other than say they will look into it. I am more concerned with the cold conditions inside because the advertising adds to the freeze time people must endure to finish the movie, and I like to bring a light jacket because it gets way too cold after one hour. Hello, it is not my place to judge the people or the circumstances of a pregnancy but many women die from the back alley illegal abortions mostly done in filthy conditions. Young or old people can be talked to and made to study the science of how a pregnancy can happen, but they think it will never happen to them. The pregnant women do not always think the same as when they were not pregnant so they look for a simple alternative to being pregnant, and you can enter the psuedo doctor with little experience doing his work in filthy conditions asking to be paid before he will do anything to terminate the pregnancy because dead women do not pay. It is a bad situation for all people and society with no simple answer, but it is good to look at all perspectives. Dale

I understand the drug problem is a lot bigger in Bangkok with so many people, but some drug organisations might be under the control or protection of various government entities so does the bigger problem lie with corruption? Hello, I like the BBQ carts that put a few pieces of beef , pork, or chicken on a skewer with a chunk of pineapple and a chunk of chile. It has a high protein content with low fat and carbs, and the BBQ rack should kill most of the bad organisms. The eggburgers at the entrance to the Nana entertainment complex are wonderful, and they are sold from a BBQ grill cart close to the street. Cheers, Dale

Hello, if you love her for real you will look past any of the small annoying differences in culture as this is the way in Thailand. Ask your girlfriend what you should expect in future meetings with her family, and settle for what you can deal with. Short visits with her family will be valuable to know what your role is, and stay strong with your beliefs in the relationship or run away before you hurt anyone more as all people have strong feelings too.
