This should clarify ALL of the misinformation expats throw out...

Not your location, but I just got a 60 day (due to 400k duration requirement) extension on my Marriage Visa (Non-O) in Korat... the office was VERY crowded but the staff there was well prepared for it, with both indoor and outdoor spaced seating, hand sanitizing and hand washing facilities, and a well organized queuing system... I was in and out in about 45mins... I was indeed pleased. I would assume other locations to be as well prepared.

Some fifteen years in-country, and more than 2 yrs dealing with the online reporting saga.... IT HAS 'NEVER' worked for me personally... went so far as to query the personnel during 90 day reporting at immigration and received the usual 'deer in the headlights' response. I even asked the personnel to ensure my arrival card information was correct and it was... the insurances from Thai Immigration that all immigrant data is concise and well maintained is just pure BS!

The Ombudsman route is excellent advice... BTW, Royal Survey never entered the property

Much appreciated... I'll keep that in mind going forward, and I'll allow AXA some more time to both respond and make an offer.

So I've had a Home Owners (Smart Home) Policy with AXA Insurance for several years without incident. The coverage has always "appeared" to be quite extensive... i.e. Fire, Burglary, Flood, etc. at a reasonable price.
It wasn't until I had a fire in my home that I realized how gullible I may have been from the beginning.
So the fire occurred on Sept. 8th, 2019. I immediately called all of the agencies... Fire Dept. (Voluntary of course), Police, AXA Claims Dept. and the Moo Baan Management personnel. They all arrived after I had extinguished the fire and really just kind of looked around laughing and joking. I really didn't think much of it. Cause of fire was the failure of a "CHINESE MANUFACTURED POWER STRIP" (nuff said).
My first indication that something was amiss was the arrival of a Claims Adjuster from a company named "Royal Survey". I have no idea who this Company is nor whom they work for, so I ignored most of what they were saying and went directly to the AXA main office personnel in Bangkok.
Reading my policy, I filed all of the appropriate paperwork via email to an individual in Bangkok whom I assume was assigned to lead my claims handling.
Long story short.... that was Sept. 8th 2019... this is now October 25th, 2019.
My correspondence with the Bangkok office have gone unanswered, and my claim continues to be unresolved... I have made several calls with the individual assigned and continue to get the same response... "Oh, we're still reviewing your claim. It's a lot of money." Mind you, AXA Insurance have not even provided a "Claim Number" from which I could call the claims personnel and check on the status of the claim.
My latest conversation led me to a serious level of anger where I stated I wanted an answer by the end of the week or I would seek legal counsel. The individual stated that yes I would receive a response no later than Friday.
Friday is here now, and here I wait... and wait... and wait... nothing!
I have never been so obviously ignored or inadequately served in my life...
I'm really at a loss on what to do or how to proceed. I'm still without the materials and items lost in the fire, and the space remains unrepaired and unusable. Seriously aggravating and stressful right now.
Once this is resolved (if ever), I will NOT renew either my Home Owners or Auto Insurances with AXA. Their claims personnel are sorely lacking in professional capabilities and response thus far to a legitimate claim appears to be non-existent.
Any advice from the community?
Similar experiences?
Seek Legal Counsel?
Legal Recommendations?

...utterly ludicrous! With the exception of ISIS, don't know of a single country that adheres to the 'demands' of the religious community (if Buddhism is religion); specifically, the 'addition' of said demands to the constitution.

So I've been doing this a while now, and previous years reporting was pretty uneventful... the last few times, it has gotten downright aggravating.
Today I arrived a full hour before opening time (Promenada), and the queue already stood at over 150 with several hours wait time. I spoke with a couple of expats who said they arrived at 5:45AM and were still about 20th in line.
After more than an hour after opening the doors, I was told the queue for processing 90 day reporting was full for today, and to return tomorrow... I said huh, wt-hey?
Fortunately, I have two more days before I'm considered overstaying... guess I'll try again tomorrow!
I really don't mind showing my face every 90 days, if that's the law... but GEEZ, put in place sufficient processes and procedures to accommodate the demand.
One suggestion... I was just 3 days late to take advantage of the on-line process... put a "Drop Box" at immigration; for documents and return envelope, and then complete the process when immigration personnel have time.
Here's a pic of the sign they placed after the queue for today was full...

"CDC"... Isn't that the Center for Disease Control?

never happen...until law enforcement enforce laws, vehicular accidents will remain unchanged. I have never seen a driver stopped for moving traffic violations!

I just can't let this topic go... my 8yr old has been in an all British curriculum Intl. school since she was 1-1/2yrs old... the lead teacher in every classroom is western (either Brit or American)...she receives 8hrs of Thai language instruction per week by a Thai national...not unsurprising, she scores 90+ in her English language skills, but is failing her Thai language with less than 70! This says a lot about the quality of Thai teachers...

...this is a perfect example of corruption in the Education Ministry...the 30% of the budget paid for this trash went to China for lowest bid, while the remaining 70% went to the crony elite!

an absolutely resounding 'Yes'!

I'm sorry, but this is just too ignorant to warrant further comment!

this fits with the current approach to maintain an uneducated society. The current PM has demonstrated his objective to keep education as the lowest priority by 1st reducing the school day, and now this... with an uneducated society, there's less of a chance to question or challenge the leadership! ... strike two!

...uh duh!

no headline grabbing news here... as part of your visa, you must provide accurate location information...NEXT!
-
bottom line... absolutely NO enforcement. From top to bottom Thai law enforcement and the rule of law has failed all those that have died on these roads...

This is how Thailand works... they want it ALL, and they want you to be grateful... as for Bangkok Hospital, I recently (two months ago) had a heart attack. I had previously paid for all the Insurance requirements one would assume I needed. BKK Hospital required a 200,000 baht deposit before they would treat me. The final bill was 225k baht. for 2-1/2 days in continued care. The Insurance DENIED the claim due to what they call pre-existing condition. THEY WANT IT ALL... and YOU TO BE GRATEFUL!
