I sure hope that any "yellow-shirt" inclined people in desperate need of help, will not be dissuaded by this totally unsubstantiated post.
If you think my post are 'flaming' the red shirts, perhaps you might want to take a look at this:
Crisis always brings out the worst and the best of humanity, and I think I've seen both.

Wow if this is true then its really low, i never had any love for red shirts but here everyone is pulling together. Politics are forgotten.
It is true, my aunt is not one to tell this type of lies especially during this trying times. Beside, she's quite apolitical.
But this is really bad, as I'm typing she's still stuck in her house with no boat but just a beat up car.
Jesus! I'm so sorry.
Where is she?
I will put a team together and we will go get her, just give me a house number/telephone number and providence and we at FRONTLINE 4x4 will go help her..
I do not care about red shirt/yellow shirt, we only care about people...

My Aunt and her children were trapped inside their house near Thung Sikarn for weeks, the water level was steadily rising. Her supplies of eggs and Mama noodles was also diminishing.
She decided to seek help with the nearest shelter for food, guess what they said?
Government Official: You need to stay in the shelter if you want food.
Aunt: How do I stay? (She wasn't planning to, she was just asking.)
Government Official: You need a red card or a red shirt to prove that you're a red shirt, otherwise you can't stay.
Aunt: But isn't this shelter for all Thais ? Why do I need to be a red shirt to seek refuge here?
Government Official: *Ignore her question* No red card, please find other means for your food.

North area is on higher grounds than Bangkok, so it will be logical to move the capital up north or even northeast than the Southern Parts of Thailand.
Or do you have a better idea?
-
Do you think Bangkok will sinks in the next 10-15 years? For me, judging by how the flood hit us so fast and hard...I doubt Bangkok will survives until then.
What should we do? Can this problem be solve, or we should just move the capital up north?

I'm planning to get a bachelor degree in Thailand and returns to Singapore to work, now I'm feeling a bit hesitant.
You didn't say what your degree would be for, but I am assuming that perhaps it might also be in English. If so, you might be better going to Singapore than the USA, but I can't say for certain. What I can state for certain is that I have met probably half a dozen people who all proudly proclaim to have Masters in English, and not one of them is capable of speaking the language correctly, and can't even begin to write a single paragraph using correct language and punctuation. However, I do not blame them, as they can only exhibit what they were taught, and if not taught correctly, then they will not learn the correct ways to express themselves. Either way, I wish you luck.
Hi. I'm planning to do a B.A. Bachelor of Arts in Language & Culture in Chulalongkorn University. I'm planning to start my career in the "museums" sector, and hopefully be able to do some research work about the history of Southeast Asia.
Thank for you well wishes, I think I'm going to need it

I have 2 younger (30-ish) friends, husband and wife, who both received Master's Degrees in English from Thai Universities. They worked for a while here, then decided to head for "greener pastures" of good ole U.S of A. Packed their bags and off they went. Less than 2 years later they returned, disappointed, heartbroken, and even embarrassed. The best job he could get was working at the parts counter of a PEP Boys Automotive shop, and the best she could do was working in a library. They said that they both applied to over 2 dozen school systems to find work, and in every case were told their diplomas were, basically, not worth the paper they were written on. However one school system at least offered to let them take a proficiency test to check their qualifications to teach in the ELEMENTARY level. They both failed the test. Now both are working in a hotel somewhere in BKK. So what does that tell you?

As I'm typing this, my family in the north and northeast are praying that our Siam can be one again. We are all Thais, I still believe our blood is stronger than water...Just please stop the killings already!

So I was browsing my friends twitters those past few days and a recurring theme pop up. It's the "Branded shirts Mob" theme. Apparently those friends of mine are so fed up that their favourite Emporium or Gaysorn Plaza are closed down that they cannot buy their favourite "Brand named clothes" that they are starting to form a group called "Mob Suer Paeng" or expensive shirts mob.
I mean, <deleted>. Their country are on the brink of breaking down and those ftard rich idiots are pissed off that they can't shop at their favourite shopping malls? Hello? Am I missing something here? By the look of it, the red shirts and yellow shirts have more heart and brain than these useless idiots.

The Red Shirts had already proved their point by turning up in large drove, they have in fact acheived the victory they desires. So Red Shirts, you've won. Please go home now.

Singapore Airlines service sucks. The only redeeming factor is the plane itself

Noo mai farang= Asparagus
Personally i don't feel offended if someone call me farang, but i'm aware some farang does.
I know some people who have a higher than average self esteem,if you call them "human beings" they could feel hurt.
Haha, Good one!

I'd already emailed this matter to The Nation yesterday, this Evacuation Center is Don Meung Airport. Talking about my Aunt, I haven't been able to contact her since this morning and I'm just praying that she'll be all right.
And most importantly, I want to give a big shout out to Khun Dan and his team who tried to check on my Aunt yesterday. Thank you so much! :jap:
