Its my first retirement extension

I have been renewing my non-imm o visa every year as my son as dependant, this year I want to change to retirement extension

Is this possible on the same non-o visa i have had for many years? This will be from Jomtien immigration

How long must my 800k be seasoned in bank?

how far in advance can i renew it?

What paperwork must i show?

is the Thai son over 19 years old? could be a reason that he was denied

immigration at Jomtien will issue a residence certificate or 10 if you want , just show them an address of where you are staying, can be hotel or apartment , utility bill or anything with a Pattaya address on it.

Of course your certificate will be valid only until your visa/entry stamp runs out

So you did not get an "under consideration" stamp in the passport?

yes i got under consideration stamp to 19 september and my re-entry permit is also 19 september

I went to immigration to extend my stay by one year on 19th August , my 1 year finishes on 19 september 2015,

They took all paperwork and the money no problem and told me to come back on 19 September. all good.

My question is can I travel out of the country for a few days (3rd to 7th Sept) and still use my multiple re-entry permiton my return and not lose my extension renewal.

What are you calling a dependent extension. Have you been getting extensions as a parent of a Thai? Or as the parent of a child attending school?

If as a parent of a Thai their is no age limit for getting the extension. Immigration is misreading the clause of the police order for that extension.

Clause 2.18 (5)of the police order has no age limit for getting the extension based upon being the parent of a Thai. The are applying the age limit for foreign children to get an extension as a family member of a Thai.

If you are registered with the Pattaya immigration office as living in their service are, you simply make your next application for extension for the reason of retirement.

Sure, if you can proof the financial requirements:

1) 800'000 Baht in a Thai bank account for two months (first application) resp. three months (subsequent) OR

2) 65'000 Baht monthly income/pension (equivalent) OR

3) a combination of both (12*monthly plus bank account with no seasoning requirements)

so I dont need a different visa, I can do the retirement on my existing Non imm O ?

If you are getting your extensions as a parent of a Thai there is no age limit.

Yes my son is Thai, he is 18,

so I can carry on indefinitely getting visa extensions even though he may be looking after himself and working?
