I like to have a pie day once a week.
I have tried most places around town, found many to be disgusting, only the following 3 do it for me.
Tinnies in Jomtiem is really good, quality pies available for 150B, I normally get a meat one for takeaway and cook chips etc in my air fryer.
I had one delivered from RHT, (with the beans) was a really nice meal, steak pie, a tad pricy at 389B, not sure how much it is at the RHT. Pastry was crispy.
The one with the mushy peas is the minced beef from Witherspoons Monday special, 199B. Again, really good and awesome value.
Chips look a little overdone in first pic................second lot look a lot better

Meet at 5pm or meet at a normal place
We are meeting at 5pm..................enjoy Vickins bar , watch the world go by.
Reason it was 4.30pm was i have to meet someone else in Pattaya at 4pm..............so with a bit of travel time 4.30 would of been good
I guess by normal place you think the same as me, that service is allowed elsewhere
-
Can someone put me right...............
I don't drink in the afternoon but have just arranged to meet a mate at 4.30pm Vickin's bar Jomtien and he informs me we will not get served before 5pm.....................in line with the 2pm-5pm supermarket/7-11 restrictions.................he says the manager has had the police in warning him not to serve before 5pm
I always thought bars/restaurants were ok to serve between 2-5pm as long as alcohol was consumed on the premises?

"These licences can be renewed with no problems up to one year after they expired with no fines or problems."
It is important to note that expired is expired - there is no grace period. You may have a year to renew the license, but if the police stop you and your license has expired, you will be fined.
Agreed...........i got fined 2 weeks ago, tried to argue the one years grace period, cop wasnt interested..................500 fine

Was a lot easier this time, instead of pointing to the chart they had something akin to a traffic light with red yellow green lights................each light approx 6 inchs across so relatively easy.........guy pressed a button and a colour would be illuminated

Renewed mine last week, ran out in December 21............got stopped by police 10 days ago in Pattaya 500 baht fine so made the effort..................interesting thing is paid the fine at the cop shop , went back to bike, cop gave me the keys and off i went even though he knew my license had expired..............just goes to show its nothing to do with road safety
Anyway trip to immigration and a local clinic , next day out to the licensing center to book an appt for 9am the next day............colour test and brake reaction.................was out by 12pm
Longest wait was a good hour waiting for license to be printed.

Update.............
sorted it myself....................i ordered a new ignition barrel from Lazada it was only 240 baht so probably not a genuine part but just wanted to give it a go........and voila started straight up.
Which the beggars the question why didnt shorting the ignition before work?.............photo below of the piece of wire in stuck in the connector block which is supposed to bypass the ignition barrel but obviously not......or i did something wrong
Anyway all's well

Well with electric problem like that the only way is checking through everything with a multimeter for live wires, ground connections and switches.
12v bulb tester is just as good.
Thanks for the reply...................ruled out the kick stand sensor as i have an aerox and click and both the lights and horn work with the stand down....................Mio nothing works
Think i/ll just load it onto the pickup...................too hot to work on it
cheers.

Yamaha Mio...................no electrics whatsoever
I know the battery is ok.................checked fuse thats ok, replaced it just incase...............bought new starter relay.............took out the ignition barrel and shorted the "plug" to make sure the barrel contacts were not faulty
I could load it onto the pickup and take it in to get sorted but just wondering if anyone had any ideas?
Also will not kickstart.....................could it be the killswitch at the kickstand?..............i.e switch is faulty so bike assumes stand is down and wont start..............and if the switch is at fault would the horn still not work?
Thought i would ask here before taking it in.

Today I tried the beef with pumpkin massaman from Lung Chef and it was excellent. I think surely among the best massaman dishes in town. 280 baht on Food Panda.
Seems a tad expensive?
Will have to try the Hang Lay from Lung Chef restaurant..................Hang Lay is hard to find in Pattaya

Anyone flying back to the UK all restrictions have been scrapped starting 18th March............vaxed and unvaxed
Checked on KLM websites and that confirms you can just board the plane
Only need Thailand to follow suit now
https://www.gov.uk/government/news/all-covid-19-travel-restrictions-removed-in-the-uk
From 4am Friday 18 March, all COVID-19 travel restrictions will be lifted, including the passenger locator form (PLF) for arrivals into UK, as well as all tests for passengers who do not qualify as vaccinated. This change, therefore, removes the need for unvaccinated passengers to take a pre-departure test and a day 2 post arrival test.

Was held opposite the Sunshine Cafe (Soi 7 ?) all i could see were surfboards being raced back into shore by guys stood on them with paddles
As usual any chance of having a quiet beer went out the window thanks to a shrill womans voice coming over the speakers commenting on the races...........akin to the long boat race commentators.................

It was blocked at the back of the avenue 5pm yesterday , looked like they had just laid cement...................i was on the bike , came off second road to avoid the traffic intending to cut through to Central road via the back of the Avenue/Buakhao route had to u-turn and head back to second road.
