Those of you making negative comments about the medical care in Thailand are obviously using the wrong hospitals. In my many years of experience of making use of Thailand medical facilities, I can only compliment them on their entire operation and many aspects of Thai medicine is far better than what I've experienced in western facilities in several first world countries. If you live in Thailand and are denigrating Thai medical facilities you should make sure you have personally researched and found that what you are espousing is correct. I say: many kudos to the majority of Thai medical facilities and their staffs. If there are problems, find them, fix them!

Gad. Why do I even read this prattle?

Seems there is a growing resentment toward foreigners in Thailand. Some of it deserved.

It would be difficult to find more ignorance on display in any one publication than is evident in this forum. Just goes to demonstrate that you retired expats need to find a hobby other than throwing insults at each other about things you know nothing about. Get a real life.

To the LIBTARDS living in Thailand: First, I want to apologize to Thailand for your presence there. What a pitiful pampered bunch of fools who would begin to feel so comfortable living in their fairyland bubble in a foreign country that they can think they have the right to inflict there petty immature disappointments upon the Thai people by marching down Thai streets bellowing and mewling about something the Thais could not care less about. How arrogant can you be? You people are nothing less than a total embarrassment of our country. If you don't like America, you should keep your damn mouths shut and hide your angry faces. I can tell you that there were as many people disappointed with the outgoing gang in Washington as there are with the incoming. But, those people respect and defend our Constitution, accept lawful election outcomes and try very hard not to embarrass the land and people who gave them everything... including their names.
So, please... GROW UP and SHUT UP!

I'm sure that others have commented on the likeness before.
They both have very enthusiastic supporters (and detractors).
Neither of them pay attention to the normal rules (or laws).
Both of them say whatever is passing through their minds at that moment.
They are both ready to trash their allies and embrace their enemies.
They are both going to make their countries very interesting places to live.
Wow! You've convinced me that you have been living in a vacuum. Are you just another of the whining progressive socialists that can't come to grips with our election system and results. If you don't like the system do something productive about it and write your representatives. That is if you are even an American. If not...be silent.

Do you think Trump will have 2,500 people murdered extra-judiciously?
I don't think Trump and Toxin are alike at all.
Agree! This is just another whining poor loser who thinks the sky is falling. Calm down Chicken Little.

The American voters clearly don't agree with you. And rejected a very dubious alternative.
I doubt the Canadian Immigration system went down. They probably just don't want these whining progressive socialists in their country. Heaven knows we all have enough already.

Whether it costs more to execute a convicted criminal or to keep that person on death row forever is debatable. Either way, it's very expensive. In NY state, it costs about $68k/yr to keep a person incarcerated. At Guantanamo, it costs about $900k/yr ! Whenever the US government does (or buys) anything it's always extremely expensive.

That might work in the US but not in Thailand !
Wrong! It wouldn't work in the United States either. In fact, the man may have been handcuffed and led off to think on what he was doing. You certainly don't walk up in the middle of a police action and critique them. Plain arrogant. He should have made his case at the police office if he didn't like something.

The world has gone insane. Proven and convicted murderers do not deserve concessions. One cheap bullet should be employed. Cost: about 20 Baht.

Congratulations to the American people for their 2nd successful and magnificent American Revolution. President Trump won American women voters, Latino voters, large numbers of Afro-American voters... all of which the clueless news pundits were declaring would never vote for him. An American Brexit. Thanks be to God. Middle America and the Silent Majority still rule when push comes to shove and those watching our Republic from outside our country should not forget that fact. Wishing the world Peace and Prosperity.

I have seen road rage in Thailand up close and personal when a Thai man got out of his car and shot a foreigner to death for accidentally bumping his car from the rear. Thais have a very explosive, albeit immature, temper. Be prepared to protect yourself in these incidents. And remember that you, Mr. Foreigner, may not be armed. Of course it's the same in the UK if you're a good guy.

How much sense does it make to keep a convicted two-time murderer that has been sentenced to death hanging around in a prison for 34 years; then, decide to execute him at 74 years of age. So, he's lived a full lifetime at tax payers expense after having killed two people. Insanity!

These responses to this article serves to remind how stupid people can be. It never seems to fail in this forum.

Why do farangs do that funny invisible walk, posture, starey things and are more focused on ignoring you than acknowledging you with a nod or hello! when walking towards another farang in an un touristy area?
It has happend countless times too me but i have just had it happen while walking back home and have remembered to ask about it.
I have just passed another farang and we were walking towards each other for over 100 yds and as we got closer it was quite obvious he was doing the i cannot see you walk... ... i looked, nodded and said hello as we passed while he scratched his ear to avoid making contact....
why do people feel the need to do this?
Well....after reading the majority of these comments, maybe you won't feel so bad about not receiving the polite nod from the farangs you encounter on your walks. These are the same people who laud the friendliness of Thais because they cannot find that same quality in themselves. It used to be considered good manners to acknowledge another human being you come face to face with. Must be something in the up bringing. Very sad indeed.

It truly warms my heart to know that all you pinko commie, so called, Americans who have made off-color comments about our President are now living outside of our great land. I wish you could take more of your liberal retards with you. Good riddance. Get a life!
