  1. I have been scouring recipe books for a recipe for the delicious braised duck noodles which are often served in small stalls and coffee shops around Chinatown but without much success. These are the duck noodles which are braised I believe with five-spice and served over a bowl of noodles with or without soup. The soup is also just as delicious. Can anyone help to advise whether there are any recipe books for this dish and where the book can be bought or alternatively, do you have the recipe available? Thank you for your help

  2. I am looking for an alternative butchery and shall be grateful if there are any good recommendations for a butchery around town.

I was told by a friend that Thai-French Butchery at Sukhumvit Soi 33/1 was a good source for beef. I normally buy beef shins and beef bellies. Most of the time, whenever I go the the Thai-French Butchery, they say they are always out of stock, whether I go in the morning, or in the afternoon. I request to order in advance but am always met with a standard response - they are not sure when supplies will come and they will not take your order. Their attitude is the pits, to say the least. They behave as if you owe them a living and they disdain to speak to you unless you are a regular, and the regulars I see there are normally stallholders and vendors. So it seems that these 'regulars' always get what they want. All others suck.

  3. Do you like cigars if so which types, do you smoke regularly or just on special occasions.

    Cheers

Cubans are the way to go - Cohiba, Monte Cristo, R+J, Partagas 50 ring-guage preferred. Good way to end an evening with a cigar and a glass of single malt
