taxi drivers in Samui are the biggest cons, In the past 2 years they stabbed several touists including women because they tourists put up a fuss about having to pay 700 baht for a 5 minutes ride. They are one of the biggest problems in Samui. It will never be solved.

Just be glad you are alive and get home. There is no justice here if it comes to Thais against Farangs. You will lose. In samui I saw 2 tourists get beaten in front of a crowd 30 by 3 Thai jet ski renters. People caught it on video and everything. The three Thais had the book thrown at them. 500 baht fine. That's it! If this was the other way around they would be picking up your remains to send home.

You got that right! I've never seen trash, homeless, or any problems once you go up those steps. The BTS does a great job keeping the inside and outside clean and have never had any problems. Once on Mo Chit I had to "go" and I mean Go badly. PEE I asked one of the BTS guards and he called someone and another guard took me back by the offices and let me use the toilet. I don't think this is allowed at any of the stops but I may be wrong. I even tried to tip both BTS staff and both denied. So please don't think this has anything to do with Thai bashing. Thais have huge hearts which is one of the biggest differences from country.

I pay more here than in the states for cable and get terrible service and less channels. 1500 a month true I missed a payment by one day and they shut me off. I spoke to a woman on the phone who was rude and said send someone down to pick up the cable box. So now I've waited over a month to get my 2000 back for their cable box. I'm going crazy watching Thai soaps all day. Help me!!!! All I have is PS2.

I've sent packet 3 around 12 days ago and still am not on the new schedule on the embassy web site or received any mail. I know what you are thinking "BE PATIENT" I know I know. I bet Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia are just sitting back and laughing while their tourism is booming thanks to a few stupid incidents in Thailand. They should put that officer in jail for a year for trying to get 60 thousand baht for a mat from the lady after they caught her. I mean come on, It's like Thailand doesn't want to succeed. Anyway enjoy beautiful Malaysia, where a bar towel is not worth a year in jail or 60 thousand baht. That officer should be fined for all the problems he caused 60% drop in last year over a bar towel. Was it worth it?

Why is it that these college kids and other young men will all just sit there without any consideration for the pregnant woman or the elderly on the BTS? I just want to Yank them up by ears and teach them the manners they were never given. It's almost always the Farang that give up their seats. My wife and 1 year old got on the busy BTS and once a woman offered her seat. Once out of 50 times. Anyway, just wondering why sometimes it's so hard for some people to do the right thing.

It seems the police don't understand the concept of discretion. The crime of stealing a towel worth no more than a couple hundred baht should be punished with only a ticket. Also, once the friend confesses the ticket should go to the friend and not the lady arrested. Just b/c she is the walking out with the stolen merchandise does not mean she is the one stealing it.

I agree with you. She should have gotten a ticket. The main problem with Thailand's image is the police always going overboard when it comes to arrests such as this. They only target the tourist and don't realize that the rest of the world is watching each of these incidents in their own countries saying to themselves "I want to go anywhere but Thailand for holiday" Malaysia must just love all this yellow/red shirt problem. Their tourism is booming because of Thailand can't get their act together.

I had a tooth pulled in Bangkok and they left part of the root still in. It's deep. Is this going to cause a problem in the future. Will it get infected? Should I go back to the dentist and get my money back? I went the a hospital and they took and x-ray and showed me this. They gave me the x-ray.

Is this a problem or should I start making thousands of flyers about this and hand them out in front of this dentist office. Is this legal here? I believe they should have to pay for my new surgery that they screwed up along with paying me back for their first mistakes. I think the root is close if not attached to my jaw bone. The hospital wanted me to do the surgery in the next 2 days.

Please give me some advice

I'm so sick of the customer service I get from this company and how they just don't care about anyone. Everyone I talk to here agrees. So Am I going to get hate mail because I mentionad a company. I didn't use their full name. I wish some would start a new company for internet and cable that has actual customer service. Now because I refuse to give this monopoly any of my money, I'm stuck watch "Thai Soaps" Which are most likely the reson Thailand ranks so low as far as other countries. It's all just srceeming,cheating,the worst songs they keep playing over and over and over that brain wash into jumping out of a window, evil mothers, hitting women. and almost every Thai person I've met here watches daily. I see these shows being played in every business I pass daily. America is no different but we do have parental controls along with educational shows, discovery, travel pbs

Anyway just making a sugestion

she's a wonderful hearted lady( I'm MARRIED BEFORE ANYONE THINKS THE WRONG IMPRESSION) She has no criminal background and is in perfect health, she has friends there (Pum and I) By the way owns her own salon here, She finished high school. She has never worked BAR before. Her English is very bad though which made me think she could go on an education visa. LOOk I'm just trying to help as many people as I can while I'm here from teaching CPR to teaching English. I've been teaching in thailand for years now. I accept no money. I only teach poor children who don't even go to school. I also teach CRP and first aid for free about 3 times a week to schools. I use my own money to create posters on first aid/CPR training which are translated to Thai for them and give out to schools. I started this topic as a joke and of course I don't judge all Thais the same. I'm currently working building a playground near a police station near my home from donations. I teach random acks of kindness along with the "Pay it forward" to adult during my evenings.

Why do Thas lie so much. About nothing too. My girlfriends mom would look me in the eye and lie about stuff like "I can get your rent price down, instead of giving the 7000 give me 4000. The landlord is a good friend of mine and went to school together. Ok no problem I say. 2 days later the landlord wants rent. I asked my girlfriend about this and it seems she doesn't care to stand up for me. If mom needs help all she has to do is ask. This went on many times (35000 US)until about 1 year later when I told all her neighbors, businesses and friends about this and that she is no good and a lier. SHE LOST FACE! She moved within a week to Surathani where she can start her lieing process over again. I would of eventually bought her a house but she decided to choose the wrong path, treating me her future wife a stupid farang. Her loss in the long run. She has never she was sorry and she really could less. Someone needs to write a book in Thai about how bad lieing is and how it can destroy someone's life. Now when she asks for money I say 3 words she understands very well GET A JOB!

I got the letter from the uscis petition . I waited months to gt thisgot a letter uscis it's time to start your package the send to the embassy. Igot info bank statments from bank managers, sponser in my family, 3 job offers, dad's will, photos, tons of paperwork,etc. Anyway i just noticed on my uscis under notice type it says valid though 01/30/09 to 4//30/09. I almost had a heart attack! A years worth of work, please don't tell me i don't have to send another petition because I'm 4 days late. I feel so sick now. I just got the letter that the Embassy is ready to receive all of out embassy package pics, letters, forms, etc. We have already got the uscis petition months ago. This letter sounds like they are ready for the interview. How long does it take after we send the entire package to the Embassy til the time see needs to come in for an interview? Does anyone know how long the interview takes? Will they be polite to her? She is very nervous since I will not be able to go in with her. I'm afraid that nervousness will look sketchy to the interviewer. How can I make her feel more confortable because it really is alot of pressure on both of us. Can anyone help me? I have lived here in Thailand for 2 1/2 years. I'm working on my K1 Visa with the help of a lawyer. My girlfriend's interview is coming up. Is there anything I should know about the interview. We have a son together and though she isn't a "high So" girl she isn't a bar girl either. I heard terrible things about the interviewer from the US Embassy from many people including lawyers here such as he is a racist. I have 2 letters with jobs lined up when I get to the states. My parents even did a joint sponser for my fiancee. I don't have my last 2 years tax returns because I've been living here not working. I don't have a large bank account , maybe only 2000 now. How can I prove I make above the poverty line if I'm NOT working in the US now. Is the US, My homeland, really going to tell me that my baby, a US citizen is better off without his natural mother.

Would it help if I taught my fiancee Spanish?
