Hi All
I went to a forum "I am too fat " and most of the people there do not help .. They just call overweight people Fat or obese and think if they can lose weight anyone can.
So, I met a few of the members on this forum for the meeting on new year's eve. I decided when I got back home I will go on a good eating plan. I hardly ever ate outside in restaurants , as I was a 3rd year apprentice chef when I was younger and love to cook. I got sick and the weight piled on , over 35 kilos. I was told by doctors I would not have a long life, so I really did not care about my weight .I found it so hard to lose it because of my injuries.
Now.... I really want to lose the weight and I am telling you guys here please give some support and I will let everyone know how much I lose each month . Please no bad comments as I want to do this .My wife , is going to help me and I love her for that and so much more.
Thanks
kevvy
Hi Kevvy,
First of all. Do Not eat after 20.00 hours. This works beautiful with my wife.

The "fighting" beetle?
The male yes. They sit on the top of bamboo. People shake them of. With two males inside the ring they add a female and the fight starts.
That is what my wife says.

You could try Home Pro.
Tried already, they have almost nothing. I really don't like that shop. The former Home ?? has more.

My wife says that is not the one. She knows the witchetty grubs because they are in the bamboo we have here. It is, she says, a different one. Her father also don't know this one. She thinks it is a larve from a kind of big fly.

Are they in the soil or on the plants?
In the soil, they are big. About 5 to 7 cm length.

Global House and Thai Watsadu sell it in 8`x 4` sheets up to 20mm thick, and various sizes in plank form up to (i think) 25mm
Have used it for making shelves, desk tops and cabinets and coated it with stain/varnish. A little like pine wood to work with,
Be careful as it is graded and stamped BB and CC never seen AA, most common I seem to find is CC and may need wood filler
applying into some blemishes. Hope this is what you are on about.
Thanks, that is exactly what I am looking for. So I have to wait until Thai Watsadu opens here.

Anyone has any idea where to buy rubber wood?

My car is back from my mechanic, the one I always use. He did not have the equipment to check the fuel pump but a friend has. So he repaired the injectors anf checked the pump. After this repair the engine is running like never before. Even in the 5th gear it is very powerfull.
No more smoke!
Thank you all for your advises!

Does anyone have any experience with a slingbox?
-
You say that it makes more smoke when you use the turbo. I take it that you mean under hard acceleration ? Is it black smoke ?
I think that your engine - being 23 years old - is not an electronic diesel ? No computer managed engine ?
Yes, yes and yes, no computer.
-
I went to my mechanic today and asked him. He agreed with the injector change that it might help. He warned me however that it will be expensive, around 8.000 Thb. Is that reasonable?
-
To the Op, does your mechanic have the ability to flow & pressure test diesel injectors?
Sent from my SM-T211 using Tapat
No, that is why I am looking for a diesel expert. He is a very good mechanic by the way but misses the equipment to really check the engine.

Has the maintenance been kept up ?? Fuel filter, air filter, diesel fuel cleaner added regularily ?? Is injector pump pressure within spec ??
Once you are sure of the basics, and they are ruled out as the problem, you can look deeper.
As my daddy used to say re: troubleshooting - KISS - keep it simple stupid !!
Said to me, not meant as an insult to you.
Yes everything has been taking care of by a very good mechanic after I bought the car. Filter changes etc. However he says that I have to live with the smoke. Believe me, I spended a lot of money to get this beautiful car in a good condition. I use the V-power diesel from Shell and put in another cleaner every empty tank for three times. A little bit less smoke. But as soon as I start the car, a lot of smoke is coming out. Same when I use the turbo. Normall driving is almost smokeless.

Hi all!
I have a 23 yo Pajero diesel. The engine is not running smooth I think because it needs some work done. Also it gives smoke with starting and when using the turbo. Does anyone know a real dieselexpert to look at the engine and listen to it and, of course, could repair it?
Your help is much appreciated!

I have in both my inner and outer kitchen. Bought it here in Donsila. The shop is on the left side of the road if you come from Chiang Kong. (route to Paya Mengrai/Wiengchai) 900 Thb per sqr. mtr but in black it is more expensive, arround 2.000 p.m.
So althogether not that expensive.
You find also various shops on the highway in CR

The last time I looked they still had a shop selling fishtanks and paraphernalia at BigC, out in the parking area. I would guess they could at least point you in the right direction if they don't sell them.
Here is a similar topic --- Aquarium.
Yes, just outside Big C, on the same side and place as the massage and the swimmingpool shop. Don't leave the parking area complete. It is inside the Big C area.
Another place is opposite of Big C. A little bit hard to find. Just look for a big orange fish. It is next to a car dealer.

If you switch to the international site, you are right. On the site as written: Cannot deliver outside UK.

this is just my thoughts on the suject,
i think you would have to dig the crown up every year and put it in the fridge to simulate winter, ive heard it done somewere,
i think my mums sister did the same thing in tenerife with some bulbs,
i think you would have to bring crowns in from abroad,
just my thoughts for what there worth lol,,

Thanks for all the suggestions so far. I've heard that the stuff available in Thailand (presumably from the royal projects) is about 100 baht a stick - hardly a price a Yorkshireman will pay.
I've found that I could get seeds sent out from this company:
http://www.thompson-morgan.com/fruit/fruit-seeds/all-fruit-seeds/rhubarb-glaskins-perpetual/831TM
If I grew seedlings as far as possible then put the plantlets and/or crowns in a fridge until the cool season then put them outside in big pots or the soil for the duration of the cool season or a bit beyond, maybe I will get some kind of crop. I have a holiday house in Nan so the cool season up north (eeeh lad, up north) should be OK there and the empty fridge should be ideal for long winter simulation when I am away.
I am off for a month to central Europe, but they don't grow rhubarb there and these less happy people don't even have tinned stuff to bring back.
Anyone got any further ideas?
Strange since they only send withing UK according their website.

VF is it across the highway or on the same side??
One is across the highway on the other side. Last time I was at BigC I saw another one next to the massage place in the BigC parking lot.
Found it, it has all I need. Thanks VF!
