I have been thinking about getting a Dtracker 250. But I saw a supermoto version of the Yamaha WR155 and think it looks like a cool light bike for commuting through Bangkok and a little bit of light trail fun. It's obviously a bit less powerful than the 250 Dtracker, but I'm just looking for fun and don't care about going over 120kn/hour. Anyone got any expereince of the 2 bikes?

Thinking of getting a Corolla Cross as it looks like a practical all round car. Any one got one, or want to share their thoughts?
Also considering a Subaru Forrester or CX30. The CX30 is probably the best to drive but least practical.I like the size and 4WD of the Forrester. But the Corolla cross seems to have decent space, plus it would be good to have a hybrid.

A NInja 400 is a good bike. Fast enough but user friendly, with a slipper clutch and ABS etc. I have a Ninja 300, fun to ride but not too hard to control.

Agreed. Google maps pretty much does this, it shows the current traffic situation and likely delays.

I would go for the NInja 300. I have one and really like it, and they are good quality bikes. I have also had a CBR, in my opinion the NInja 300 is much better quality and more fun.

The owners of the BTS are funding this new international school https://www.verso.school/ . I think the fares are high so they get a lot of profit.

There is the skylane at the airport, a 23km loop track. It's a very good facility. Plus there are a lot of cycle races now around nearby areas and some great mountain biking too.

Yes. Chin gap is wider so easier to breathe. I have been using those style helmets from Real for last 5 years, they last well.

Catch the airport link to Bann Tap Chang and explore the klongs around here. I live around here and have about 50km or more of paths I run or bike on.

Thanks for the replies. More Subarus are appearing on the road and they do seem practical for Thailand. We have been very lucky with the Pajero, it's doen 120,000km with very minor problems in that time and the dealer and service centre has been brilliant. Might end up keeping it and swapping the small car for the Forester. Subaru's seem to be built well and a 4wd station wagon would be versatile.

I am interested to know any experiences with the latest Subaru Forester. I am interested in getting one as a replacement for a Pajero Sport. It seems to be a good practical car for Thailand. Also wondering about the after sales support and servicing etc around Bangkok.

We have a 2010 Pajero sport. Has done 115 000km without anything wrong with it so very reliable. Our service centre has been fantastic too.

Wow. Awesome. You will be 2 seconds faster than my Pajero. Congrats. But stop driving like a <deleted> at night.

At least he isn't sitting on his ass making stupid comments.

Mine is 6 years old and same problem. Rest of car great though.

The new Nissan Trail has a hybrid version.

This woman trained very hard for this and it is a fantastic achievement so it's a shame to have so many joke about it. And although she might have been the one that actually summited a whole lot of Thai's banded together to give her the support she needed to get there in the first place so Thailand as a whole should be proud of her success. Remember it's been 2 years since anyone summited Everest since lots of people were killed in both proceeding years attempting it so she has guts.

Okay. Thanks for the post and advice.

I'm confused. You said you get the extra 300 days if you renew after it expires. Mine expires on the 15th and I want to renew about 7 days later.
-
Thanks. I need to renew in a couple of weeks. Glad to know I can renew just after it expires.

Had a Pajero with same engine etc 6 years and not a single problem.

The one near Seacon square is fantastic. Its on Srinakarin Rd. Been going there 5 years and they are great. Its a Merc dealer too.

Let me know how the Pirelli experience goes as I may get some for my Ninja 300.
