Not sure if i will be back anytime before December, when it should be a bit cooler.
If you want cool weather why on earth are you visiting the tropics ?
FYI Thailand is in the tropics and the average temperature 30 - 35 c.

Ask the builders here in Samui, I think a lot of the villas they are building are built to Lego designs. :-)))

I used KeyVisa - www.keyvisa.com
They charge 5000 bt which saved me two overnight visits to Bk so for me was good value.
It only took 4 weeks to process. You will need to go to immigration when you get your new PP to get your visa/extension of stay moved to your new PP. A simple process.
Don't forget to also inform your bank and driving license office about new PP.
Sorry use this link not keyvisa.com - Renewing UK Passport in Thailand - Thai Girlfriend Visa from the top visa company in Pattaya - Key Visa (keyvisathailand.com)

These people did mine. Easy no trips to BK but it did take a LONG time, not their fault the UK passport office is a shambles.

My bank K-Bank tells me if you brought the money in to Thailand electronically you can transfer back out to the same account.
If you don't have a recognized phone number, you have a problem and must go into the branch where the account is held.
It's probably makes sense to go into the branch anyway so they can assist with any problems.
Good luck.

I did it last month with Kasikorn bank. Moved it to a fixed interest (1.85%) for three years.
Easy just go in and tell them what you want.
Don't forget your passport.

I've done my own here in Samui for many years now.
As long as your paperwork is in order it a doddle.
If you haven't got the necessary money in the bank, use an agent and keep your fingers crossed the new government doesn't clamp down on this practice.

Excuse me that's not fair what about British, French, Germans, Italians, Dutch, Indians, Chinese etc. etc. etc. And don't forget the Burmese, Cambodians, Laos and Filipinos.

So glad I visited the once amazing Phi Phi back in the late 80's and 90's before this madness descended on the islands.

Just come back from Lotus Lamai, Samui. In the food hall there is now a stall selling Russian food.

I blame 7-11 and fast food.
When I first came to Thailand 40 years ago an over weight Thai child or adult was a rare sight, as were 7-11's and fast food outlets.

If you look at the police checkpoints in tourist places it's indeed racism. They pull over everybody who doesn't look Thai, but a Thai without helmet and no license plate can just pass.
BS. Not where I live. All are stopped and all have to donate accordingly.
