I have seen cars with no license plates front or back that means they are not registered and have no compulsory insurance where i come from, but there if you license a used car you receive your new license plates straight away, here you have to wait until they are ready and go back for them, even when you buy a new car the car dealer puts temporary red plates on the car and you have to go back when the correct license plates are ready.

My 2c worth? Regardless of whether Anwar was guilty of assault, the manner in which this incident was handled by the Phuket authorities indicates to me that their combined IQ must be way below the 80 mark. Are they not aware of the global reporting and comment accessible via Google, Twitter etc?

Hey hey calm down about phuket ok,,, the post was about patong,, This is not phuket IMHO ,, i live in Chalong 3 months of the year,, and i find it lovely, great restaurants, and bars with,, or without ladies of the night !!! my best buddy lived there for 12 years, when there was no roundabout,,

and patong was just a big village,, mud roads,,now he has movd with wife and small daughter, to Udon Thani, its cheaper to live as you would imagine,,.but patong has got bad for rip offs,, but there is no reason to not visit phuket,, patong is not the only place

, phuket is huge,, look around loadfs of places to stay,, and if you have negotiated a price for anything you must pay it,, its called fair!!!!

They are noisy, dirty (terrible pollution!) , rude, dangerous, dishonest and all around bad news.

I guess it may be part of Thailand's identity, but I feel they should make Tuk Tuks a thing of the the nostalgic past.

Well, Phuket tuk tuks are a true disaster

But I wouldn't complain about Chiang Mai and other places in the North

Many times I got a great service there, been charged very modest price and many drivers could speak pretty good English

Great news,,, I to can shout my praises too the Chiang mai tuk tuk drivers,, yesterday i took a tuk tuk from night market to tae pae gate,, 60 baht

Also i stupidly left my new digi camera on the seat,, realizing this in 3 min,, i took another tuk tuk back to the rank in night market, myself phom pasa thai nit noi,, so my new driver helped me to explain to other drivers,, one of which made a call, 20 min later camera returned,, all smiles 300 baht reward all good.. so i have great faith in Chaing mai tuk tuks,, but i never use them in phuket,,

2 years ago i was so scared this tuk tuk driver going like hel_l, back to chalong, i said cha cha,, he stopped tuk tuk and threatened me with a nice shiny Hatchet,, i ran and ran,,, never again will i be in a tuk tuk in phuket.....

I live in KL most of the time where we have a lot of this.

Roast beef, pork, or, chicken, Yorkshire pudding, roast potatos, mash, mixed veg, gravy and coffee. Horseradish or, Dijon mustard.

Right i have a question for you,,???? how is it i can buy beer or what ever i want, in phuket or pattaya, as soon as the shop opens till it shuts,, no time limit?? but in Phitsanulok,, Baan clang,, you can only buy in licencing hours,, in the jungle they keep to the licencing laws ,, But in the lime light of ALL they flout these laws???? i just dont figure?????? lol lol lol I love THAILAND always surprises

Assuming that Australian law is the sa as UK law, there is nothing illegal in this. I believe I am right in saying that persons over the age of 16 can apply for a full adult passport. My research has me found nothing that suggests that those under the age of 18 need to get parental permission. Consensual sex with a person above the age of 16 is legal although that person has yet to reach the age of discretion.

hi i can help,, the family restaurant has indeed moved but only about 800yds, from the pier turn left at "roundabout" and its on your left way befors post office if my memory sevres,, and as for the Green man,, well , , in my opinion, its sunday roasts let this lovely public house down terribly,, my 7 yr old could eat the adult portion,, 2 roastys tiny yorkshire pud 1, 2.5 slices of thin meat, small amount veg, this is not a traditional dinner, i would have to order 3 to come close,,lol , anyone know of a place that serves a sunday carvery close to chalong??
