  1. just received two credit cards from kasikorn bank visa and master both platinum, took three months for the approval but finally got them got my work permit in place and my salary is going straight insight my kasikorn bank account.

I applied also with Siam Commercial Bank and they refused within 1 day after application submit they even didn't consider the application, it's getting more and more difficult for a foreigner to stay in Thailand.

Central Shopping Mall issues Credit Cards, didn't try to apply but heard that they are reasonable, just try it.

All foreign people are welcome to spend money in Thailand but not more

    :)

  2. Thailand economy is going down, how far nobody knows, as mentioned before here they got food, but still rely on the kid's income working in the "big cities", here in Rayong they start to get rid of people as we speak.

Another sign is that the Real estate market is going down, look at all the fire sales, now is a good time to buy property, nevertheless we need to wait for the second half of this year brings to us joy or disaster.

I'm quite concerned since I'm a employee at Rayong, as more people loose their job as higher crime will go up, worst case scenario you are not safe on the roads anymore especially as foreigner, may we all pray that it don't come so far :)

I agree with most of what you say except for this part " Real estate market is going down, look at all the fire sales "

    where is this happening ?

In Pattaya, fire sales are starting and most of the big Condo projects (The Loft's Southshore, WTower etc.) frozen

  3. I'm now since 10 years in Thailand, and yes it is difficult for us (western's) to understand, I give you a small example:

In the Thai language there is NO word for no there is just a word for "not yes", Thai culture is very scared to "hurt someone's feelings" or to offend them, to understand their way of doing you need to understand the culture.

Off course there are many bad habits here in Thailand but why are we here? because it is still better (what ever is the best reason for us to stay) to stay here than staying in "our home country".

My suggestion for all this unhappy and frustrated people is:

go forth and multiply, this is a very polite way to say <deleted>.. off! go back home and be unhappy wherever you want but not here, nobody is keeping you here, we are here only guests!
