sad as most of the problems I see are small bikes driven by people with no idea what is going on. I truly believe this is a case of big bike accidents attracting press time. a chance to be selfrightious and xenophobic. I have yet to meet a big bike traveling in the wrong lane with no lights at night...a not all that uncommon a sight. just one more way to fleece the foreigner....in clear thinking....again

I truly doubt there are more or worse criminals here than anywhere. but the media loves to scream about it.

ease of movement from area to area...no that is untrue. all foreigners here are very monitored. much more so than Europe or the US or Mexico.  

truly there is a strong xenophobic feeling in official Thailand. I was not allowed to get a SIM card from DTack even though I am married to a Thai and have lived here for over 6 years with no problems.

Saddly, teachers are way under trained and underpaid. Only HiSo kids get proper education. So talented good kids get lost and poorly educated and fall into gangs, prostitution, and violance. Saddly the Wats are for a large part greedy and only out for themselves and care nothing for the community at large....sad.

Just no excuse for Musk to be so arrogant. He truly needs to publicly apologize. Pay the guy. Musk can afford it, and move on quickly. This could distroy him needlessly.

Sad that arrogance by officials put these children at risk. They would have been happy living with dad who had a job and cared about and for them. Smells like discrimination and xenophobia....

How about suspension of licence fit 1 to 3 years plus the fine.... Don't do that!
