The fact that the Philippines Immigration law and officers are refusing
Philippines citizen to leave the country is not new and happens frequently.

The Philippines government thinks that it should protect its citizens for

the evil practices in other countries. It is all ready rather difficult to get a

passport in the Philippines and than on top of that can the Immigration officers

just decide that you are not allowed to leave the country. Maybe the goverment

is afraid that the whole population will migrate if they got the chance.

I am not bashing the Philippines government. I just want to make people aware of the law

and pratices in The Philippines which is causing trouble for its citizens and people like

me who meet someone who I like and invite to come for a holiday to Thailand or another country.

This law is very typical for The Philippines and can not be found in other countries and therefor

it is worth mentioning and making other people aware. So that money is not lost in airline tickets

which can not be used and people will not be sad and crying when they hear that they are not allowed to fly.

Yes there is a course by the CFO for Philippino ladies who are planning to get married

with a foreigner. They will try to brainwash these ladies and tell them most terrible stories

to disencourage these ladies to do so. With a CFO certificate, these ladies can travel without

to much hassle abroad. I did not send my girlfriend to this course because we did not plan to

marry at this stage. We want to get to know each other better and therefor we were planning a

holiday in Thailand. You can only take a Philippines lady abroad if u are engaged or married.

This is typical for the Philippines. A government telling the people how to live. Philippines is

a very Catholic country. However you will never seen so many underaged and young mothers around twenty

years old with babies in the world as in the Philippines

I have been visiting the Philippines the last ten years two to three times per year. I happen to have

foreign friends who live there. What is wrong with that ? One of the commentators called me a MONGER.

So people who vist the Philippines are MONGERS. Whatabout people who live in Thailand ?Or maybe

like me live in Thailand and visit The Philippines. Please save me these kind of disgusting remarks.

Yes , I live in Patong, Phuket. Many bars and girls around there. I am single. I have met a nice Philippines lady 26 years old,

which I invited for a two week holiday to Thailand. I was not looking for sex. I really liked the person I met. I was trying to make

her happy by inviting her for a holiday and show her around in Phuket. So the remarks why I dnt take a Thai girl are irrelevant.

When I called here and we spoke for a while she mentioned that the other lady which my friend and I met, her cousin

had died several months ago in a car accident. She was sad about that becasue they were best friends. She did not ask

me about money or anything. Why would she lie about the death of her cousin. I really dnbt understand that some of you think

that she is lieing about this. For what purpose. I happen to know indirectly two young persons in my home country who will

die very soon because of cancer. These things can happen. Why some of you think that people lie about this. They were not

asking any money for anything. Just bring me up to date with the tragedy in her life and in this case somebody I have met before.

So it does not say that you are not allowed to take

your Philippina GF on a holiday trip. It depends on the

immigration officer and their mood. It is a lottery.

I have foreign friends who took their Philippines GF

to Thailand. Most likely they met another immigration officer

or he was in a better mood. It is a very arbitrary case.

We did do anything wrong and our intention were honest.

I was all ruined by one guy who did not like this lady to go

on a holiday with me to Thailand.

She does not looks low class but as a normal lady from 26 years old.

The intention was a two weeks holiday to Thailand arranged by myself.

I have been to the Philippines 50 times of the last 15 years.

If you have a Thai GF you can travel with her to almost any country in Asia

or even outside Asia as long as she has a visa for the country.

Thai immigration is just checking her passport, ticket and visa if needed.

They dnt question what your Thai GF is gone in Bali, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan or Philippines.

That is the big difference between Philippines and other countries such as Thailand.

So now we know which taxis to avoid. The ones with the sticker on the door.

As well as the Tuk Tuk of course. Only use meter taxi !!! Phuket airport- Patong

500 bath that is including about 50-80 bath tip. I use them all the time and pick me

up at home when I need to go to the airport. They are normally nice guys and their

driving is oke.

This guy was under investigation himself from manipulating land titles and stealing land

two years ago. He was never prosecuted,. They have case against him which is more than 1000 pages, but nothing happened

He owns Pisona Tuk Tuk, which is continously asking ridiculous prices from tourists and many times this ends in 5 or 6 tuk tuk

drivers beating a ferang close to death. He owns Hollywood disco which always close two or three hours after legal closing times.

Hollywood is known to be very unsafe a several ferangs have been kicked to death.

Do I need to say more. Patong would be a great place without him and his family. Sadly he has been elected to mayor again after

paying everybody who vote for him 1000 bath.

i dnt understand that these kind of positions are held most of the time for 1-2 years and than people

are shuffled around again. Such a job should be at least 3-5 years to see some impact. It is the same

with many other positions in the Thai government. Every few months a reshuffle. That is why nothing is achieved

most of the times and corruption is key !!!!

in MBK in BKK ( BTS National Stadium) you can buy S3 phones original white and blue international warranty

for 17.000 bath. If there is a problem Samsung will help you every in the world but not in thailand. Service

and warranty in Thailand does not mean a lot in most cases anyway.

I think before the end of the year S3 will cost around 15.000 bath. Which is a great price for a much better

phone than Iphone5. So buy now or wait a little bit. S3 with Thai warranty cost around 19.000 bath.

A retirement visa is a non immigrant OA and I am sure you have not been issued such a visa if under age 50.

A non immigrant O multi entry visa can be issued for a number of reasons - the most common is Thai spouse or child. It appears your Europe consulate gave you it for having a show of 800k in a bank account (which is not normal).

You will not obtain a multi entry non immigrant O visa closer than Perth (with copy of ID card of a Thai). Until you are over age 50 you do not qualify for retirement visa or extension of stay.

If you bought a condo for 15 million baht you could check if it qualifies for extension of stay. But you say a house and land can not be owned by a foreigner so if a work around was used it is likely not legal for an extension of stay.

I have a retirement visa O since I am 41 years old. Never had a problem only showing more than 800K bath on a Thai bank account.

If you are right than it is better not to live in Thailand or buy a house till you are 50 years old

I was granted a Non immigrant visa O 5 times before in Europe.

In my current passport I have to two times visa and my last visa O is

expiring in two weeks. Visting my friends in the Philippines I took the opportunity

to visit the Thai embassy in Legaspi Village in Makati.

I dressed up nicely and had all the documents ready.

Although I am only turning 49 years old this month I was granted the Non immigrant Retirement Visa O

5 times before because I pass the financial requirements ( more than 800K bath on a Thai bank account).

The Thai embassy is run by Philippinos so I was afraid that things might not go well like most things are a big

problem in The Philippines. My application was refused for many reasons which are made up by these Philipinos:

1) They did not want to give a Non immigrant visa O because my last Visa was not expired yet ( due in two weeks)

2) They did not want to give a Non immigrant visa O because I was not a Philippino.

3) They mentioned that I could never have a Non immigrant visa O because that is only if you are married to a Thai.

They said I got the wrong visa 5 times because I t should have gotten an O E visa ??

4) I mentioned that the only important requirement is that you have more than 800K bath was completely ignored

5) I ask to speak the the Counsellor in charge which was refused and later I was mentioned that this person was in a meeting.

I bought a house in Thailand 6 month ago ( 15 mln bath). So now it is a problem to get my Non immigrant visa O.

They told me that I should go back to Holland and apply with the Thai embassy there. When I mentioned that in all Thai embassies the same law apply, the Philippino staff mentioned that they only care about in Philippino law. That is exactly problem !!

If somebody else has experience with the Thaoi embassy in Manila than I am very interested to hear about it.

Did anyone notice the comment lower in the Post article that the employee would get fired after he had stolen gear from bags 3 times!!??

The worker would be fired immediately. The contracting company after three times !!!!

It is normal that airports are contracting work out to other firms.

I checked in two bags at Suvarnabum last year. A nice bag witjh 33 kilo and small bag with 7 kilo.

The small bag made it to Europe and the big bag never made it to the airplane and disappeared.

I am not so sure if these girls are 100% innocent.

These girls would have been manipulated for someone else's profit, would have been very young, totally naive and not had a clue about what was to happen to them. How the hel_l do you think trafficers operate ?

How you know that they were so young. I did not see there ages. Maybe they were already working

in a bar beer in Soi Cowboy or Nana complex or Pattaya. I have seen many thai girls in almost every country in the

world, doing these same kind of job as they were doing when they were still working in these places.

You can take the girl out the bar but you can not take the bar out of the girl. That is why many thai girlfriends

will still work some kind of prostitution when they are abroad. In many cases their boyfriends or husband are aware of it

and not happy at all.

The 2 girls were asked to work in a bar beer in South Africa and make good money.

So they were not asked to work in a restaurant. We all know that girls who work in

a bar beer are also entertaining customers in different ways outside the bar.

Maybe the two girls were very naieve or maybe they knew but they dnt like

the job after all. I am not so sure if these girls are 100% innocent.

Many thai girls are providing all kind of services abroad in every country.

Most of them because they like the money. Their foreign husband are objecting, because

they dnt like them to do these kind of jobs. If the husband makes a fight than the thai girl

will leave and look for foreigner she can stay with and will not give her a hard time

to make money in this kind of manner.

It will be much better and fair to forbid the dual pricing.

Like ferangs pay more for anything like gym, food, taxi and disco.

I never understand this way of dealing with ferang.

There are very rich Thai people who are paying normal prices,

so why ferang always are charged too much.

But the facts in general (I don´t know this case):

Suicide often is not the end of a long suffering, but a try to hurt other people (f. e. the partner).

And in fact, suicide do hurt other people a lot. Many times, the motive is more an aggressive one.

After successful suicide, relatives often feel very guilty, and many times they are not.

Suicide, especially done by young people done in the circumstances of relationships, are more a sign of some kind of

mental disorder. (sorry). For example not able to accept losing face ! (f.e. kind of narzissme disorder or inability to act in a different way with your aggressive motives.

The probability of doing suicide depends more on the general use of it in your family and not of the behaviour of your partner. (or of the fact, that you use it before).

The most important ability for partnership is to accept, that you inevitable will be hurt by the partner and on the other hand you can not avoid to hurt your loved one ! If both do accept this, their chances are much better ! Even if you try to avoid to hurt your partner, sometimes you have to accept it. And your partner should understand this ! Having a good partnership, does not mean, never hurt each other !

Mostly the worst thing is to choose a partner, with a high possibility of doing suicide.

The woman is just dead. (sorry) But the relatives (incl. husband/partner) do have to suffer a lot.

Conclusion:

Be very carefully with blaming the husband !!! He may be cheating ( but you dont know ), but that does NOT make him guilty for killing her ! In christian believes, it is a big sin to do suicide! And that is not the worst approach.

Just some remarks from a professional and not from rainbow press !

unfortunately she can not reverse her act.

Young Lady ??? 39 years old !! It is however a sad story for her and her German boyfriend too.

Hope so, people should be given the right to choose for themselves, not some suit in an office.

Have you ever heard of animal cruelty done by evil people who are lacking moral understanding.

In USA for example mistreating your dog or cat is a serious offense and leads to heavy fines and jail.

Thailand without elephants is like China without panda. Or Australia without K'roos, or New Zealand without Kiwis.

Nobody said that Thailand must be without elephants. Not in the city abused as Tourist attraction !

Elephants belong in nature or elephant camp outside cities. You have probable never noticed how

much these animals suffer by walking the whole night in for example Soi 4. How they are kicked and

molested by the mahouts with iron picks. Everyone with respect for animals will get upset !!!

I red in Bangkok Post many years ago that Thai Law was forbidden to take elephants in to cities.

When you were complaining in Soi 4 to Tourist Police than they were telling the mahouts to move on.

It was however embarassing to see every night 2-3 elephants walking in Soi 4. I can not understand

that tourists dnt see that these animals have a terrible life. There is now a young elephant and sometimes

so tired in the night time that it collaps on the street. Many Thai shopowners are also angry about it.

I dnt understand that Thai police are not taking actions all these years and prohibit Thai elefants in Soi 4

and other streets. Unless of course they have an interest to keep these evil business alife. Lets hope

that it will be finally over now.
