  1. My family is coming to visit and most of their free time will be spent in Phuket. Any idea where they can go to get a sak yant while there? I know the best place is just outside of Bankok, but they won't have much time while there.

    Thanks.

  2. I've seen a few posts on this, but really no answers to what I'm looking for.....

I'm looking for a school, in Bangkok, that has a 1 year course in studying Buddhism and allows me to get a 1 year Visa. I'm not looking to become ordained, or to study just meditation. I'm looking for a possibly secular school that teaches about Buddhism in general, history, etc...

Anybody know of a course like this?

    Thanks,

    Matt

  3. An Ed-visa is a good choice. It doesn't necessarily have to be with a language school. In some cases Muay Thai is also accepted. If you have a school/training camp already, ask it they are able to assist you with the ED-visa. There is a small change they might.

Any idea if you can get an Ed Visa from most any Muay Thai school, or only specific larger ones?

Thanks for the suggestion, I'm definitely going to try looking into that.

  4. I am planning on going to Thailand for a long time. I will be training in martial arts and plan on staying longer than one year, probably up to three.

I am 26, have roughly $15,000 in the bank, and will have a steady income of around $1000/month while I'm there.

What are my best options for a Visa? Will it be easiest to go to a language school while I'm there and get an Ed Visa, or is there a better idea?

    Thanks.

  5. I have his address, and directions there and phone number all written down in Thai. I'm uploading the picture, i think the phone number says,

    081 2349734

I got the Gao Yord from him this past october and it was amazing. Hopefully you get this in time.

    Matt
