  1. Monday, 3 officers in uniform (one I haven't seen before) came to my house and gave me a form to fill out as to my passport number and nationality, etc. One of the officers showed me another paper (as I was enquiring if I'd done something wrong) with the names of 7 or 8 more foreigners on it.  The form header was something like "Trans Criminal...." something. My wife filled it out and the gents were back Tuesday morning to pick it up. Has anyone else received the same form and if so, do you know what this is about?

  2. I have a marriage visa.

My passport has space for one more 90 day report stamp.

When I go for that stamp my book will be full and I will have to get a new passport.

Do I just hold on to the old book with my last stamp, get a new passport in the interim and then have my renewed marriage visa stamped on to my new passport?

Or is there some procedure I should know about?

    Thank you for your time,

    G

  3. Just a quick look from the taxi drivers side, assuming everything the rejected customer said is true, he may have been wary about picking up more young men at another location. There is danger in being a taxi driver. Stabbing, of course, from what the passenger says, is terrible.

I am sure the investigation will run it's course and justice will prevail, in some shape or form.

  4. Not cowardice, the driver probably had no idea who he hit. Who was at fault, we don't know.

Many times at the scene of an accident it is very dangerous for the driver who survived to stay.

He left his vehicle, which is 99.99% registered to his name and the officers will see him at his house.

This is true for all nations, the safety of the surviving driver.

  5. Yes, do investigate further, people don't just slit their throats like this, there are many better and faster

ways to die, foul play for sure, sexual act that went horribly wrong maybe,,,,

10 cm is lengthy, if you take out a ruler and look.

We need to see what kind of knife, if the knife is present (which is suspect not because these items are shown in pictures normally in these articles).

10 cm sounds to me like a box cutter.

  6. Many people come on holiday and expect certain things, like full service and cheap prices and happy people.

This is a false way of thinking. If you want to be a part of a happy environment and people to respect you and give you good service (that they are willing to) it is only natural that one would expect holiday makers to partake in cleaning the garbage they create. This makes everyone happy.

  7. I'm glad tat the complaint (not ranting) opened up the ever existing problem of taxis abusing their services in which this problem of not sing the meter was suppose to be stopped by a law that made it illegal just this last year. Well I guess some of the taxi drivers didn't get the memo!

I'm confused why is it that the report only mentioned the Japanese tourist by name and no mentioned of the taxi drivers name? Is this to make the Japanese man exposed while keeping the Thai driver protected? Doesn't this story make it more at fault and brings the Japanese tourist at risk while the taxi driver is being protected? Shame

Sent from my iPad using Thaivisa Connect Thailand

Following the viral message posted by Koki Aki, who detailed his many complaints in Thai and Japanese about the airport’s service – especially the taxi queue – officials investigated and banned Chaiyan Chareonsopa, a driver who allegedly demanded THB700 for a ride to Saphan Kwai, airport Director Prapon Pattamakijsakul said yesterday.

  8. Why just ban him from the airport, why can't he have his taxi license revoked?

Revoking someones license for what is known in this sample as only a first offence is a very very harsh measure.

Losing the rights to service the airport is ALSO a harsh measure and will certainly have a large effect on the individual and his income.

What is more useful is looking at the situation as a whole and trying to draw conclusions as how to fix/address it as a whole, not calling for someone to be drawn and quartered.

  9. of little interest to the ignorant fools that have gone native and live in the booonies of nakon nowhere ...BUT lets not forget that many Genuine tourists transit thro bkk for a few days and they fear this kind of abuse by any law enforcement as this is the natorious far east and being forced to sign any bull that is made up on that day of a little pill slipped into your shirt pocket can DESTROY your life/////..but hey thailand is perfect isnt it fools

Just curious as to why folks going native living in the boonies are ignorant.
