  1. I have a marriage visa.

My passport has space for one more 90 day report stamp.

When I go for that stamp my book will be full and I will have to get a new passport.

Do I just hold on to the old book with my last stamp, get a new passport in the interim and then have my renewed marriage visa stamped on to my new passport?

Or is there some procedure I should know about?

    Thank you for your time,

    G

  2. I'm glad tat the complaint (not ranting) opened up the ever existing problem of taxis abusing their services in which this problem of not sing the meter was suppose to be stopped by a law that made it illegal just this last year. Well I guess some of the taxi drivers didn't get the memo!

I'm confused why is it that the report only mentioned the Japanese tourist by name and no mentioned of the taxi drivers name? Is this to make the Japanese man exposed while keeping the Thai driver protected? Doesn't this story make it more at fault and brings the Japanese tourist at risk while the taxi driver is being protected? Shame

Following the viral message posted by Koki Aki, who detailed his many complaints in Thai and Japanese about the airport’s service – especially the taxi queue – officials investigated and banned Chaiyan Chareonsopa, a driver who allegedly demanded THB700 for a ride to Saphan Kwai, airport Director Prapon Pattamakijsakul said yesterday.

  3. Why just ban him from the airport, why can't he have his taxi license revoked?

Revoking someones license for what is known in this sample as only a first offence is a very very harsh measure.

Losing the rights to service the airport is ALSO a harsh measure and will certainly have a large effect on the individual and his income.

What is more useful is looking at the situation as a whole and trying to draw conclusions as how to fix/address it as a whole, not calling for someone to be drawn and quartered.

  4. I think we are all jumping the gun a bit here. The story about him tearing up his visa and asking for asylum is from North Korea. North Korea needs US hostages at the moment in order to get the US to sit at the same table as them. If you watch the latest CNN interview with this young guy, he is clearly under duress and his answers are not those one would expect unless he is under threat. Watch the interview, watch the body language. It has been scripted and he has clearly had to repeat his answers over and over again until he was given permission to be interviewed. This is a set up job by NK. Even if he is a nut job, he is a US citizen and needs assistance right now. Let's see some of the patriotism we are forever hearing of.

Why is he talking like he's trying to send a message that needs to be decoded?

    What I think, he's crazy.
