Oh please be true. The utter chaos that this would spawn would be both hilarious and terrible in equal measure. I bet that the single most common job western foreigners do is teaching. Even if only 5% return need a positive result, school's would need closing and the entire student body would need testing as well as family members and other high risk groups. Hospitals would be swamped.

Probably better to not know imho.

Well, that's what they have been doing all these months till the cat got out of the bag and now they hauling a$$..

Waiting for the news update regarding to what happens to those of us who have a booking on the 12th Feb to renew their driving licenses, which now has become a new public holiday.

I think they have already received a moratorium on its renewal (until the end of march) because one can't take the test due to covid restrictions.

Ok, but with time slots being fully booked months ahead already it doesn't really help. My license expired end of October 2020 and my appt is on the 12 Feb 2021, so go figure ????

One of the comments on the Phuket News article asks exactly what I was going to say: what happens to thos people who have just completed ASQ in Bangkok and then travel to Phuket? Will the final test give them absolution or will they be deemed to have been in contact with the outside world in Bangkok and/or the airport or will they be required to quarantine in Phuket for a further 14 days?

I suspect the latter, as people may get infected on their way to Phuket.
