  1. Didn't the Thai Officials arrest that Swede/Lebanese guy within like a week of the first alert? And I am still in shock at how quickly they have tied all together the stuff related to this current arrest including cell phone pics from a working girl in Pattaya and the three different rooms they stayed in there.

Yes, the Thais have been very fast off their mark. I did mention earlier that they had captured suspects last month too.

Some people here seem to make it their life's work to criticize the Thai police and Thai authorities, as far as I can see they have done very well in regards to these two recent incidents.

    Credit where credit is due

The Thai authorities are doing a good job in how they are handling things. I am happy to report that. The Thai government officials on the other hand are handling it like buffoons. The more I hear what they say the less I think I can ever trust anything I hear from them.

Flood handling is good example is how well they handle it. It is the tops guys that seem to be clueless, the low ranks are the one that do the hard works, get injured, or kill. Look at the situation ins the South. The generals get rich while the low ranks get killed.

  2. So what happen to US or Jews plot to create this FALSE FLAG? So far one (women) Iranian went back to Iran, why would she be doing that? Hmmm.

Oh the "FALSE FLAGgers" are still out in full force. The fact that they were all Iranian, all carried Iranian passports, all attempted to flee or fled to Iran is only proof positive that there is ABSOLUTELY, NO POSSIBLE WAY that Iran had ANYTHING to do with this incident.

    Dohh!

  3. Nationmultimedia:

According to police sources, two improvised bombs found at the house were in the form of portable radios, stuffed with C-4 explosives. Hand grenades with the safety lever removed were inserted in the radio units to be used as the detonator.

Small metal balls were also put in the units intended as shrapnel. There were six flat round metal plates with a diameter of 2 centimetres attached beneath the radio bomb units, each weighing about 2 kilograms.

Contrary to media reports that Morabi used two hand grenades while on the run, police sources said he used two radio bomb units, out of a stock of five. One went off in the first accidental explosion in the rented house, two were used by him and two others were found in the house.

The radio bombs went off five seconds after their grenades were activated. They had a blast radius of about 40 metres and kill radius of about 3-5 metres, the sources added.

  4. This Chalerm guy is fast or it is joke! A small symbolic expression?

Chalerm went on to say it is still early to jump into conclusion whether the country will be used as a platform for anti-Israel terrorists or if yesterday's incident was linked to the bomb attacks in India and Georgia.

The deputy premier described the blasts as a small symbolic expression and he will order the immigration police to step up alien screening measures particularly on those from countries with terrorism problems.

He reiterated all related agencies are capable to handle the security situation and there is nothing to worry about.

  5. It's not usually the terrorist leaders and masterminds who carry out the attacks or decide to blow themselves up...

Needless to say, they more often recruit

They often purposely recruit bombers that are mentally deficient..

It makes me chuckle, but seems much like the process by which the US goes about selecting presidential candidates.

    huh.png

And this nutter is any better? I'm not chuckling, I'm laughing.

    IranPresident.jpg

Well, is Obama mentally deficient since we had selected him as our president?

  6. The bombs that exploded in a busy Bangkok street yesterday were intended for "foreign nationals" in Thailand, national police chief Priewpan Damapong said.

    359179.jpg

Bystanders watch as a bomb disposal expert approaches the attack site in front of Kasem Phithaya School on Sukhumvit Soi 71. PRAKIT JUNTHAWONG

He did not give further details but said only that the targets were not Thais.

The blasts injured five people including a bomb suspect carrying an Iranian passport who blew off his own legs.

Hmm, they must have used dumb bombs because a bunch of Thais got hurt instead.

Who is this stupid police chief, do we suppose to feel better that the bombs were for ""foreign nationals" only?

  7. At this point it is highly speculative and actually a bit illogical to assume Iran has anything to do with this. Hezbollah is not Iran and is not even Iran based regardless of what Israel wants people to believe. It is a based in Lebanon and always has been. The only ties to Iran is the accusation that Iran provides financial support as does Syria as well as Muslims in general who provide most of its funding. It is a terrorist group whose main goal is/was ridding Lebanon of Israelis and Israeli influence ... though they seemed to have expanded this to wanting to see Israel wiped off the map. Their purpose is not to serve Iran and Iran's suspected support is due to believing in their extreme Islamic cause and not because Iran pulls their strings. By no means is Hezbollah a political tool of Iran but it does follow the extreme Islamic teachings of the late Ayatollah Khomeini.

Much like entering a movie theater 20 minutes after the show started, you have missed quite a bit in 700+ posts. Iranian passports found at the scene and on the bad guys. Iranian currency found in the safe house. It's all in the thread. Please do try to keep up.

Much like somebody with huge comprehension issues you fail to grasp, in my very clear post, that the Iranian government and citizens of Iran are two different things as Hezbollah is yet a third.. And yes, I missed any news reports of 3 passports found in the apartment or that any currency was found in the apartment. I did read that both Iranian and American (maybe working for the USA?) currency was found on the blown up guys pants along with his passport. Another man was caught at the airport attempting to leave the country but I guess he must have had another passport with him since you say his was at the house. The final unidentified man is on the run, I guess it is just taking time for officials to translate his name and copy his photo from his passport in order to provide these details to the public.

It is typical for travelers from countries like Iran to arrive with American dollars! Especially now with the Iranian currency being thrashed by the sanctions. American dollars are still the world's reserve currency. Did you not know that? Do you seriously think that an Iranian carrying American dollars in Thailand is any evidence they are American agents?

He also has Thai money, so he must be working for the Thai also, no? so funny!

  8. Here is the sad part:

"A search at the rented house turned up an unspecified amount of C-4 explosive and some home-made bombs, Bangkok police chief Pol Lt-General Winai Thongsong said.

In Moradi's backpack, police found clothing; receipts issued to a Yasef Moradi by a hotel in Pattaya; Bt8,500 and US$2,800 in cash; and a large amount of cash in Iranian currency.

Thitima denied the incidents were acts of terrorism, saying: "This is not sabotage or related to the travel advisories issued [after last month's terrorism scare] by many countries. Police now know where the [suspect is].

"Intelligence analysis said [the suspects] were arguing with one another, and the incidents are being treated as normal crimes."

Foreign Ministry spokesman Thanee Thongphakdee said an official conclusion on the incidents would be made soon to determine the specific nature of the crimes. "Don't jump to the conclusion that it was an act of terrorism," he said."

Thai government is still in denial.

  9. What kind of person that willingly thrown the bombs at the Taxi and the police in front of the school, but luckily the school childre were not present at the time, just think how bad that could have been if the school children were around at the time. I do not believe he will care either if it will hurt or kill the children.

  10. Jayman:

"The Chinese Consulate General has issued a strong warning about travel to Chiang Mai, following a series of attacks on tourists including the recent brutal mugging of a woman at a temple. The warning was posted on the website of the Consulate General after a 36-year-old Chinese female tourist _ Liu Xiao Hong _ was battered about the head with wooden clubs early in the morning of Jan 25."

Must be it is the Chinese embassy fault for putting out this warning also.

Yep, blame everyone else for the problems.

  11. Hmm: here is the news about Chinese embassy warning:

The Chinese Consulate General has issued a strong warning about travel to Chiang Mai, following a series of attacks on tourists including the recent brutal mugging of a woman at a temple.

The official website of the Chinese Consulate-General warns Chinese tourists of "numerous incidents of looting".

The warning was posted on the website of the Consulate General after a 36-year-old Chinese female tourist _ Liu Xiao Hong _ was battered about the head with wooden clubs early in the morning of Jan 25.

Warning for the Chinese being robbed, no demand from Thai government for the Chinese to contact the Thai governmnet before putting out the warning? No protestors in front of the Chinese embassy? May be it is the Jews' plot?

The American embassy is bashed for putting out terrorist warning?

  12. "

Thai security forces found more explosives in a house where the Iranian man was staying in Bangkok, but the possible targets were not known, Police Gen. Pansiri Prapawat said.

A passport found at the scene of one blast indicated the assailant was Saeid Moradi from Iran, Pansiri said. Authorities in Tehran could not immediately be reached for comment."

So it is the Jews' plot using the Iranians? Make sense to me!

  13. Three explosions rocked Sukhumvit 71 in Bangkok on Tuesday afternoon, badly injuring an Iranian man who lost both his legs.

Another man was arrested at Suvarnabhumi airport after police discovered explosive materials in a house rented by three Iranians in Soi Pridiphanomyong 31.

Four other people were injured in the blasts.

Government spokeswoman Thitima Chaisaeng said police reported the house was being used to make bombs and had uncovered a cache of C4 explosives and remote control detonating devices.

She said a bomb went off inside the rented house and two of the three men fled.

The third man, identified as Saeid Moradi, followed and tried to hail a taxi, which refused to stop. Police said he threw a bomb at the taxi, injuring the driver, and ran off.

He then was spotted by police and threw a third bomb at them, but it bounced off a tree and blew his legs off. He was rushed to Kluaynamthai Hospital.

  14. Good question from Nationmultimedia

    http://nationmultimedia.com/opinion/Better-to-know-or-not-know-30173927.html

Is the Nationmultimedia bashing the Thai Government?

    Exert:

"Yet, after last week, one rule should be written in stone. Chalerm Yoobamrung must not play any role in terrorism-related mass communications. He has to be kept exclusively busy with charter reform, no matter how weird it sounds for someone like him to be tasked with spearheading the reshaping of national values"

Any Thai had objection to this? Or only if the comments were made by non-Thai?
