######, I just read a good book on Burma but I can't remember the name - Green something something. I'll post again when my memory is refreshened.
Also, haven't seen David Young mentioned. Thought "Sukhumvit Road" was stellar. Read "The Scribe" long ago but see he has 2-3 others.
Got it! From the Land of Green Ghosts!

Not to disparage thaivisa.com, but over at the Thai-UK forum, there's a pretty comprehensive listing of all the books on or about Thailand along with reviews. Worth checking out.

I'm taking my Thai wife to the States for a few weeks in October. We'll be staying with my folks. I realize I need a letter from home but I'm not sure what info is required. Can anyone give me a checklist of what I should ask for?
Thanks

The Thai refer to it as "Yoseff" but it's St. Joseph's. It's on the river near Wat Chaiwattanaram. I don't know of another one.

St. Joseph's School - located on the river, bit out of ways from town. Last I heard, the sole foreign teacher was pulling 32,000/month. Classrooms don't have air or fan. The Thai teachers are nice. That's all I know.

Have to go with Singha on this one. At least I know how to deal with the hangovers.

Just picked this one up from Bookazine. About 200 pages into it and it's good so far. It's about a crew of ex-pats in Chiang Mai - not so much a "hooker" novel as the author focuses on the individual characters search for salvation after leading sad, desperate lives.
Anybody read it?
Return Visit To Usa
in Visas and migration to other countries

My Thai wife has a visa to the US good until 2015. We're planning a return visit next month. My question is, does she need any additional documents or stamps from the embassy?
Thanks
