  1. There is a man named Paul " Les Gems des Les Brummige des Midlendes" Bryant who I believe is an incredible player based on Samui and undefeated on the SE Asia tour circuit (undefeated in Dudley too).

He presents exhibition frames in Papa Joes and Sky Bar every night in Bang Rak and on invitation in Chaweng, subject to soberiety.

MANCHESTER CITY have lost confidence in Sven-Göran Eriksson after their slide down the Premier League and hope to replace him in the summer, with Portugal’s Luiz Felipe Scolari their preferred choice.

Thaksin Shinawatra, the Thai billionaire who owns City, is unhappy that his club have tumbled from third to eighth, with qualification for Europe now an improbable hope. Thailand’s former prime minister made a place in next season’s Uefa Cup the minimum requirement after a promising start under Eriksson.

Before yesterday’s 2-1 win at Sunderland, City had won only two of their past 12, and were eliminated from the FA Cup by Sheffield United. Shinawatra has been unimpressed by the performances of most of the players for whom he paid more than £50m and wants to change managers before committing another £30m in the close season.

He also wants to make a big-money signing, as a statement of intent, and has declared an interest in Barcelona’s Ronaldinho, but Eriksson is said to be unenthusiastic about the prospect of working with the twice World Player of the Year, who has had a poor, injury-interrupted season.

On the recommendation of Jerome Anderson, his chosen agent and recruiter-in-chief, Shinawatra appointed Eriksson last July on a three-year contract worth £2m a year plus bonuses. He then bankrolled eight signings for just over £46m and forked out another £4m for Portsmouth’s Benjani Mwaruwari during the January transfer window.

After their dispiriting finish to 2006-07, when they took just two points from their final six games, City started this campaign with three successive league wins, one of them in the Manchester derby. Despite defeats at Arsenal and Blackburn, they were still playing well and running third in the table when the wheels came off at the end of October, with a 6-0 drubbing at Chelsea. They recovered well, taking seven points from their next three games, but the rot set in towards the end of January, when the FA Cup defeat at Bramall Lane preceded losses to Arsenal, Everton and Reading. More recently, one point from three matches against Bolton, Birmingham and Chelsea has further concerned board and fans alike.

Some of the summer signings, such as Elano, Martin Petrov and Geovanni, who started the season so well, have tailed off badly, while Rolando Bianchi, who cost £8.8m from Reggina, was poor from the start and quickly offloaded to Lazio. Felipe Caicedo, the Ecuador striker, who cost £5.2m from Basle, has yet to start a game. Eriksson will be paid off after one season, and Scolari, the man the Football Association wanted to replace him as England coach, is now City’s target. The World Cup-winning Brazilian plans to move on after taking Portugal to Euro 2008 in June.

Pini Zahavi, the so-called “super agent”, will be Shinawatra’s go-between this time, and it is believed that Kia Joorabchian, who brought Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano to England, will also be involved.

  3. Possible if only carrying hand luggage. Flights notoriously delayed first and last thing in the day.

I cant imagine you will enjoy the trip. Why not the bus to Chumphon then the boat from there? - Cheaper and more relaxed and possibly quicker, certainly if you miss the original 8am boat.

  4. With Ford, Toyota, Nissan etc having their own production facilities in Thailand would they not think it practical to make a particular model for the home market i.e without lights, brakes, indicators, bumpers, wipers, exhaust, metallic paint, dashboard including all instrumentation etc. I believe there would be a market for a more back to basics model which excluded gearing, steering, tyres, glass, seating.

Taking these non essential items out would broaden the appeal of the vehicles with valuable cost savings passed on.

  5. Apologies, but only protective of my children. I dont feel potentially dangerous dogs should be a threat to anybody and should be properly surpervised and managed by their owners.

What I should have said is that if my children felt threatened so would the dog owner, apologies for any confusion.

  6. Dogs simply should not be left unsurpervised with children there is too much that can go wrong.

Might be miss informed but believe the Dogfather was seriously mauled this morning by two Rottweilers. These things should be on a lead and muzzled.

Within a country mile of my kids and i would break the fuc_kin neck of the owner!

  7. The thickness of the paper will be determined to some degree on what type of printing press it is printed on.

A typical web process (reel fed) normally associated with newspaper print would require a significant print run to justify its use. With a minimal circulation requirement the actual printing process/ machine would be different (sheet fed or mini web) and you would then be restricted to the paer tolerances of the press and the minimum and maximum gsm (grammage per square metre).

It would be nice to see the paper however printed on toilet paper and put to its proper use in the future.

  8. With you 100% Chairorn!

Dont think it is unreasonable to have children feel comfortable on the beach without the threat of a mauling or standing in dog SH(T.

A childs life is far more precious than a dogs!

Happy to see dogs on the beach but there has to be a degree of responsability by their owners.

  9. GUTTED!

Joey Barton was released from jail on Thursday night after being bailed by a judge.

The 25-year-old Newcastle United and England midfielder made no comment as he passed through the gates of Liverpool Prison into a waiting car.

Barton, of Widnes, Cheshire, had been in prison since he was charged with assault and affray last Friday.

He, his brother and a friend, were arrested in Liverpool city centre in the early hours of Thursday morning following a complaint to police by city centre CCTV operators.

It is alleged the group were involved in two incidents following a confrontation at a McDonalds restaurant in Church Street, Liverpool, at 5.30am.

Judge David Swift, sitting in chambers at Liverpool Crown Court, agreed bail earlier on Thursday afternoon.

Barton's solicitor Daniel Weed said: "Mr Joseph Barton has been granted bail with conditions until he appears at Liverpool Magistrates' Court on January 16."

    Bail conditions were not revealed.

Barton, wearing the black jumper he was arrested in, a grey top and jeans, left prison at 6pm.

He climbed into a silver Audi A5 and sat in the rear with Mr Weed. At the wheel was Peter Kay, chief executive of the Sporting Chance clinic in Hampshire, who offered bail accommodation and supervision to the footballer at an earlier hearing.

Barton, who is charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and affray, will next appear at Liverpool Magistrates' Court on January 16.

The court also decided that a charge of criminal damage against Barton, following an incident in a taxi in March 2005, will also be heard that day.

He will appear with Andrew Barton, 19, of Widnes, Cheshire, who is charged with actual bodily harm and affray, and Nadine Wilson, 27, from Huyton, Merseyside, who is charged with common assault and affray.

  10. This made my day! Treat people like you expect to be treated yourself, let's just hope he gets 6 months!

Magistrates have refused Joey Barton bail despite the Newcastle midfielder's lawyer effectively offering to put him under house arrest.

In an unexpected development during the hearing at Liverpool Magistrates Court into an alleged assualt in the early hours of December 27, it was proposed by Barton's counsel that the 25-year-old would travel to the Sporting Chance clinic in Hampshire where he would stay for 24 hours a day under constant supervision from a member of staff.

However, the application for bail was denied and the assault charge against the footballer was upgraded from a Section 39 common assault to a Section 47 assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Barton did not attend in person but watched proceedings via video link from Liverpool's Walton Prison. He is due back in court on January 16.

  11. Barton is due in court in the Spring / Summer over the alledged training ground assault add the incident with Dunne in Bangkok, the lit cigar butt in a youth team players eye oh and it was his step brother who murdered in cold blood a young black lad with an axe.

As a City fan I hope he gets what he deserves, banged up and fuc_ked off as a footballer.

    Total and utter scum!
