  1. There's probably better 'splainers around here but here's mine... MEN uses multiple points on the distribution line to bond N to E. The CU is an additional and important part of that. N to E bond will keep any E potential low and divert any faults back through the N. Current won't go to ground because there is no reason to - it want's to return to home (so to speak).
  2. The earth bar doesn't look very much populated. Is ground going out to receptacles?
  3. Just use the conduit as planned. Let the render guys work it out.
  4. The jet pump was right next to the bore. The submersible FROG has a "sand filter". Even so, this time of year the water is a bit cloudy with mud sediment.
  5. I just "glued" male/female threaded fittings to 7 sections of PVC (had to cut off the extension end). Pre-applied the Teflon tape to the male. Using a rope with noose to hold the pipe and a helper, we just screwed them together until the cap. Cable tie the cable for each section. I also installed a pressure control that Do Home sells but the sales crew had no idea how to wire. I figured that out and works great. Edit: The whole project came to a little over B10k.
  6. After 10 years and two jet pumps, I replaced with a 3" FROG 1/2 HP and wished I had done it before. Excellent output. Mine is 28m down but sounds like you have even less. They have 2" pumps I think. Definitely the way to go.
  7. Stupid question I suppose... The photo shows the RCBO not tripped. So, it trips instantly when the main breaker is turned on?
  8. If the cracks are like cracks in glass (thin), I have had good results by simply painting over them and allowing the paint to fill.
  9. Yah, a photo of the switch and any diagrams will help.
  10. Well, the only way to stop "tingles" is by using the ground system. Does the adapter use a Schuko plug? If so, get a 3-pin adapter. Available in Lazada.
  11. The red wire is connected to the symbol for a capacitor. Does the remote switch have separate selection for the fan versus the light? If not, you will be stuck with turning both on/off at the same time. Or, the remote for one and normal switch for the other.
  12. Does it trip immediately or after a while? Are there any meters attached (like a watt meter?)
  13. Yah. It is "normal' in that many Thai homes do not have proper ground to the receptacles. And/or plugs are not 3-prong to use the ground. Does the OP know the condition of his house (with reference to ground)?
  14. My bill has changed from B4.24/unit to B4.4/unit for two months now. Almost 4% increase. And my understanding is that the base rates will go up this month making it even more inflationary. The total bill/units is the cost per unit for that bill. End.
  15. The FT is part of the unit cost and that has gone up.
  16. We've been through this previously. The total bill divided by units used can be used for comparative purpose: compared to previous bills, compared to others with similar usage. Differences in total cost per unit will be in the fuel tax and applied (or lack of) discounts for similar usage. PEA will accurately calculate the total amount based on their rate schedule and other factors.
  17. That's what I pay for 15/45 single phase.
  18. Forgot to mention... If you didn't put down a couple cm of sand before laying the sod, put some on top of the "trouble spots". Or, lift up the sod, add sand, and re-lay.
  19. Outside of plenty of water, a light spread of nitrogen fertilizer every few months (3 for me) should be all you need.
  20. Yah. In my case, I just have RCBO on outside outlets and bathroom. I could care less that light circuits have RCD protection and don't want it on fridge, pump, etc. An upside to main breaker RCBO is not to worry about borrowed neutrals which can be difficult to find.
  21. That's probably the best way to go. The downside is that you may (will) get nuisance trips when outside outlets/switches get wet or get critters inside. You can easily re-set by turning off the MCB for the problem circuit and then find the culprit. Another downside is if it trips when you are not there and the fridge/freezer stops running. That is where some will put the single-pole RCBO on individual circuits and leave the main breaker as 2-pole MCB only.
