For clarification: I am aware, that they will require to see your outbound ticket from the country, from where you're applying - to LOS.
-
Has anyone succeded getting a 2xTV from HCMC, without showing an outbound ticket?
If showing an outbound ticket, what is the cheapest way to do that? can you show a bus, ferry, train ticket? Should it be dated 60 days after the first entry to LOS, or 120 days after?. This is quite annoying since I, and I am sure many other folks, havent got our plans sorted out yet, and we might not be flying, but taking a bus/train out of los.
PS: What about Vientianne/KL etc. Will they give you 2XTV without an outbound ticket these days?

What's better minivan or bus coach? (poll)

A friend told me afternoon so I went in the afternoon and I got delayed by line jumpers with agents so it took 4 hours. I think just figure out what day you can go and go maybe you get lucky maybe you donot
I know man! Same thing happened to me last time I went - so I don't think afternoon is the best time to go. I get the impression that right before, or after the 12-1 PM break is the best time.
I also found this:

When is best time to go to the Bangkok Immigration offices, Chaengwattana - mon-fre? early, or late afternoon?
please share your experience.

I once had my visa application (tourist) delivered by a friend, but I picked it up myself.
Would it be possible for a friend, to bring and pick up ones passport - or will you have to appear in person?
They same question goes for: border crossings and visa extensions (like the 30 day you can get from immigration in BKK)
Is it possible to get a friend, or a company, to do it for you?

Update: I went back to IT City (one day after the purchase) and asked for the manager, smiled a lot, explained my problem nice and slowly. They then debated it for some time, 3-4 people. They finally agreed to let me get another product. I asked if I could get a store credit, so I could spend it another time, but I had to spend it all right away. While I was picking another product. I noticed how the unpacked and tested my returned product right away. Very different "return policy" situation here in LOS, than in Europe one must conclude (Denmark in my case) But all-in-all, I am very satisfied, not being stuck with a product I could not use.
BTW: Some time ago I went to IT City, with a broken product, about 2 weeks after the purchase. Even though I tried hard, they would not let me return it "Sorry, to late Sir." Point: If you buy a dodgy product in Thailand, make sure it breaks within 7 days after the purchase ;-)

I have just bought some computer hardware from IT City, Pantip Plaza, Bangkok. At home, unboxing and trying it - I am not satisfied with the product, and if I can't return it - I've lost what I paid.
Can I expect, to be able to return it? There is nothing wrong with the product - I just can't use it. Is there any return policy laws in Thailand?

Anyone know of a place near Sukhumvit (BTS)?

I tried to buy one at Big C. No luck - they were all to small.

You order online from amazon.com in the USA.
Here's what I paid. I opted for the fast courier delivery which took 4 days. You pay the import tax to Amazon and they pass it on to Thai Customs. I would recommend you get the leather cover which makes the kindle much easier to hold when you are reading.
1 Kindle Leather Cover, Black... $34.99
1 Kindle 3 Wireless Reading Device $139.00
Shipped via DHL International
Item Subtotal: $173.99
Shipping and handling: $26.97
Import Fees Deposit: $57.63
Total: $258.59
Did you, or anyone else, get anything back from the amazon deposit?

Ive been in this situation.. (plenty of half pages).. but they're going to want to put the exit stamp near the entry stamp and so on...
What happend then? Did you get rejected?
-
Thanks for all the feedback guys - a lot of good ideas.
If some of you has been rejected for various reason - please share here.
I think a lot of people would like to know what it takes to be rejected; back-to-back rejection stories and so on..
-
Still exit and entry stamps will take half your page left.
There is plenty of half blank pages left - enough for one stamp from the Vietnamese Immigration I should think.
-
Thanks for the input.
Oh yeah..It's true that the Laos visa will take up a full page - I forgot that. The same applies for Cambodia, BUT if I go to Vietnam I will not need a visa (being Danish)
My last TV was given to me in Vietnam, where I go work sometimes. I stayed there 13 days the last time. So I am not sure if that is a back-to-back situation.
You guys still think i am outa luck?
-
I will need one more tourist visa (TV) before I head back to Europe for a while.
But I am a little nervous about planning ahead, if there is any chance that they will reject my application for a TV.
1. I have only one full blank visa page left in my passport. (some say 1 page is enough, others 2)
2. I have 2 single TV and 3 dual TV in my passport now.
3. i have no overstays or any bad stamps, warnings etc.
4. I plan on going to Vientiane, since that should be one of the best "visa embassies."
I have looked at many other posts, but still I am unsure of my situation. What do you think?
Anyone knows about folks being rejected because they only had one blank visa page?
I would find it interesting to hear about any kind of TV rejection. Has anyone been rejected because they failed to show a valid bank statement? or maybe a ticket out of the kingdom etc?
Cheers

I buy my coffee at Foodland at the moment, and I am not happy with the prices.
I come from one of the most expensive countries in the world, Denmark, and then realize that coffee is more expensive here!? Is it the same with coffee, as with wine in Thailand? Is the government super-taxing these products, as I thought only socialistic loser countries would do? Does anyone know the reasons/background for these hostile taxes on wine and coffee here?
Anyway, I am looking for advice on where to buy coffee beans in BKK - where to make the best deal, when willing to make larger purchases.

Does anyone have experience ordering any electronics from EU/US?
I am looking at the MS lifecam cinema right now - which is 50 US on amazon.com, but 100 US in Bangkok. online and offline.

BKK rules! And yes. I live here.

I have fleed from the largets welfare state in the world. Came here in search of greater freedom. This is very bad news for me and for Thailand.

I am so tired of buying 3 condom packages at 80 baht every second day ;-) Does anyone knows how to buy Durex condoms in bulk in Bangkok? (I use the dark blue version aka big)

Is it cheaper to buy a Samsonite suitcase in Bangkok than let's say, Europe, Singapore, KL?
Where would be a good place to buy it in Bangkok?
-
Does anyone know what the prize is/should be for a unlocked 3gs, preferably in BKK?
Would anyone recommend to buy it in Singapore or Malaysia instead of in Thailand?
-
Can anyone confirm that the Saigon office will demand a ticket out of Thailand efter the 60 days? That sounds unfair and annoying.
Tiny house bungalow ? how to move it easily from one land to another ?
