  1. hi

Yes, the last ferry to Koh Samed leaves Ban Phe At 16.00. you will have to get a speedboat over, at that time of the evening boats can be negotiable varies between 1200- 2000 Baht as most tourists will be installed by this time on the island .

white shark speed boats depart from Tarua Phe pier till 18.30 - 19.00, if you phone them beforehand they will wait for you Tel - 038 - 653-181

the best place for snorkling on samed is on the rugged west coast by Ao Kiew Nanai, you could hire a motorbike and go there yourself rather than get on the boat trip over there,

take a look at a great website for samed, lists lots to do and good photos - http://kohsamed.net

    Have a great trip

  2. Hi try the Baantonsai natural resort, you should get a room for around 700 this time of year, i stay there reguarly ,friendly staff ,rooms cleaned every day, there is 3 standard of rooms, book the natural resort room, they are the better.

Hi Check out the website sawasdee they list all hotels in patong, with a location map some good rate this time of year, you can also book on line.

    enjoy

  3. Visit in Ban Phe - Bedrock guesthouse bar / grill, or christies - Both are great watering holes- located opposite the pier in Ban Phe, these are my favorite 2 bars, why not pop over to koh samed some great bars located here for a day out & pub crawl - Buddy bar in saikaew / lamp bar in Ao Phai / Baywatch bar in vongduern - then get the last ferry home. visit http://kohsamed.net a great resource for this area.

    enjoy

  4. most airlines apply this rule, "Credit card holder must travel on all flight sectors" She might get asked at check-in for the credit card used for the booking, some airlines will offload passengers who cannot provide the card - the only way to get around this is not to book directly with the airline, if you book the ticket with a travel agent / third party they won't ask her to produce the card as the airline won't have details about the card.

  5. Hi.Koh Samed Was closed from 1978 - Oct 1981 by the Thai Government ...

thank u very much, these are the information i was searching for. very interesting.

Get yourself down to Ao Pai / Tubtim an hour before sunset, I'm sure the Iranian chap would tell you its history over a couple of sundowners. You can't miss him, he looks like a pirate.

i agree with Desertexile, go and see the old artists hut on the entrance to Ao-phai / Ao Tubtim he's been there for years - you cannot miss his house it looks like an art gallery -

take a look at his house on http://kohsamed.net - under things to do - he'll tell you everything.

    enjoy
